I'm starting over, vote for my new business logo

Hi guys,

My business is almost 10 years old, and I'm going
to START OVER and redo everything - the products,
the web sites, the sales system, the affiliate program.

I found that during the years I created so many
unrelated things, and so many different designs and
product lines, that I want to start fresh.

First I asked three designers to update my Business Logo.
Below you see the original on top, and then 7 new versions,
numbered 1 to 7.

Please rate which of the 7 new logos you like best.

Thanks for your help,
Ralf Skirr

Yippee! I cast the first vote. What did I win?

Two and seven were really a tie, but I could only vote for one...just so you know.

Seven might get dated faster though. Looks like so many ebook images.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

You said you starting over but the colors are all the same and so is the logo so coming to your website it won't make any difference in the logo as you just shifting it around

Dennis, thanks for getting the ball rolling.

IMDude, some of the logos lost the purple, and that will make a huge difference in the web designs.
For example, take a look at how dominant the purple is in my oldest (German) web site:
Präsentation mit Multimedia und PowerPoint :: Startseite

I will actually redo each and every web site from scratch.

Thanks to all voters so far, good to get your input.

I saw that purple. In that case I would choose 2

I like the 3rd one. Did not seem as loud as the other ones. IMO

    Hi Ralf,

Number 1, but it'd look better if the "S" of digistage wasn't truncated.

  • I think that #7 looks more professional.

    I've voted for #4

Personally I like the way the wizard (or magician...whatever!) stands out and it isn't clear what it is on numbers 1,2 & 3

But I also like #7 and if the wizard can be incorporated with that, I think that would be a cool logo!

I cast my vote. Always create logo in vector format. so you can resize with out loosing quality.

The old logo is by far the cleanest, crispest and most attractive (to me)

#4 is a (in my mind) a poor replacement but IF you had to change, I'd go with that one.

(Though I'd un-blur it, lighten the circle background... but then it would just be the original again anyway.)

    I voted for logo 1

I think the thicker font makes it a bit more noticeable, and the hidden 'S' gives it a bit of character.

I googled Digi-Stage and found about 500 companies, none with your logo, so was unsure what you did or what your USP is
But had some fun in a sloppy sorta way
OK for a theme park lol

another option was to put the name under the vector wizard
and completely free up the wand sparkles

      Wow guys,

I'm baffled by your contributions, not only the many votes, but 2 members actually created new versions of the logo. (Although the one Dennis made somehow vanished into hyperspace...)

I googled Digi-Stage and found about 500 companies, none with your logo, so was unsure what you did or what your USP is
Try DigiStage without the hyphen, and you will come closer. It is a German company however, so you won't see many matching results in English language. We do not have an English language web site for that business.

The business is incorporated under DigiStage GmbH, the name is referring to a service that we're actually not offering anymore, except (very rarely) for one long time client who used it for years.

It was a high ticket multimedia product for sales training and interactive seminars, and I decided to let it go in 2005 because it glued me to the office and made me attend customer meetings in Germany.

Today I do smaller projects that I can easily manage from every place on earth. So I adjusted the business to the internet lifestyle and actually closed the 'digital stage' product.

That's how I can now enjoy winters in warm countries and go back to Germany during summer.

But I wouldn't want to change my business name with every new product or service I create.

I like #3, but I also like #4. The third one has a nice clean look, but the little wizard guy with the wand isn't obvious. If I hadn't seen the wizard in the first logo, I'm not sure I would have picked him out in some of the other logos right away.

So, #3 for simplicity, but #4 because I like that wizard dude.
