Low competition niche (I don't have time to pursue it)

I've seen a lot of the new kids starting off in Make money online or IM or weight loss, and i hate to sound negative but you are setting yourself up for failure. Especially the IM category, that's what these people do.

If you learned how to sell vacuum cleaners, would you start of trying to sell one to distributors? (I used to sell vacuum cleaners door to door, that's where that came from :-p)

So for the next 7 days I'm going to post one uncompetitive, highly searched niche in the war room. This is the only day it will be in the main forum, so it's you aren't a war room member, join.

Anywho: Coping with PMS/cramps

Possible affiliate products: OTC medicines (be careful, you need a disclaimer), or create your own info product. I'd go with the info product, most people are just going to go to the store for the OTC. Good luck!

I disagree the IM forum though saturated is saturated for a reason. Like the make money at home niche their is huge money to be made. Even though its saturated you can still make big money... If your a newbie and you do not know much about it then I agree with you 100% it will be very tough. I myself like a challenge though.... But I agree if your new finding a very low competition niche will be your ticket to success. Just make sure your hawking products that convert.

    Nice post!

No no, the IM niche is a huge money making opportunity, but you have to hone your skills first. Most chefs start out as dishwashers and line cooks, they don't go to the French Laundry first. :-)

It's amazing though, I mean people will come here to the WF, and then find lots of cool WSO's, and figure they can now get to number one for the keyword they pursue. They will then pick an iron clad keyword in IM or weight loss! They think that's where the money is. They then think, okay, that didn't work, I need to go niche. So what do they do? They pick sub-niches in the same niches!!! Weight loss and IM!

This is a great thread, well done that man.

A few people have PMed upset about the War Room push, like I get something out of it. The war room is private, and not indexed by Google. I don't want to post 7-14 easy markets and have it indexed by Google, that's a waste. So that's why the rest will be in the War Room. And yes, threads on this forum do rank extremely well in Google.

I'm sure you're probably right, but I am a programmer of days of old (forget how old, PLEASE!).

So I would rather create a program for IM'ers (hint) than go into the

    coping with PMS/cramps

niche. The only experience I have in that area is being in the kill zone too many times (I almost said blast zone but I was afraid someone would try to take that somewhere!).

Anyway, as a War Room Member, I'll keep and eye out for the next ones.

    thanks,
    PCRoger.

Looking forward to this but I disagree on the weight loss niche. There are several keywords one can easily rank for and the web 2.0 properties make every very easy.

If you can not rank for a keyword with your own domain name, you can easily rank for that keyword using blogger, squido, hubpages, prlog, scrid e.t.c.

I kind of agree, but like the OP said - you really really need to find your feet before going into a sub niche that has a lot of pitfalls. Namely, 3 million other Web 2.0 properties competing with you
