I Want to Know... What was your Bigest AHA moment.

Hi Wariors

I came to realize one day sitting in front of my computer that the biggest problem I was facing was myself. I was so busy trying to learn this program and that program and on and on....that I was accomplishing nothing. Just busy work. I thought I needed to know it all then I could start. Problem being just when I thought I had reached the horizon and could start.. the next thing I thought I should know reared it's ugly head and I chased after that because I knew when I learned that i would be able to start, this went on for sometime. Until I realized that effectively I was just chasing my own tail. So I just stopped. I finally understood the the definition of "Insanity" doing the samethings over and over again and expecting a different result. AHA I will start "doing" instead "learning how to do". I am currently writing my first set of reports and will "do" what I've already "learned" before I start something else. I hope this helps anyone thats been there too.

Please share your biggest AHA moment because I believe that it would help someone somewhere remove that wall we've all slammed up against.

Todd

    Hey Todd,
Like you, when first starting out, I thought I had to do everything myself, program, market, SEO, product creation and so on. Ive since learnt that this is a sure fired way of burning out. Outsource!

As for my biggest AHA moment, that came about 6 years ago when I finished reading Robert Kiyosakis "Rich Dad Poor Dad"

    Hello,
I remember the day when I slipped and hit my head on the sink while standing on the toilet to hang a clock.
I then had that aha moment that I should find a source to get some monthly residual income.
I just love when the payments keep coming in.

It takes a brave man to admit his aha moment came from a toilet slip.

My first online aha moment was when someone emailed me from my first website, a site I built purely for fun, and wanted to know how much I'd charge to make some custom graphics. I quickly turned that into a business and never looked back.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

I honestly don't remember because it was a very long time ago. Actually,
        seems like a lifetime ago.

Truth is, I sometimes think it was a miracle that I went from making $28 in
5 months of beating my head against an immovable wall to being successful.

Probably the biggest change in my life came when a very successful
marketer told me that I wasn't going to make really big money (at the time
I was making like $15,000 a year marketing and freelancing) until I came out
        with my own products.

That was when the biggest change came.

Many of use hard similar issues when starting out, we are so eager to make the money we were told we are gonna make. So in desperation we read to digest everything and guess what they just pass out as faeces as a result of improper digestion.

Information overload is one of the biggest reason of failure.

Once i overcomed it, i was able to do the right thing without having thru much stress.

My biggest aha moment was to stop listening to people on the Internet about how to drive traffic to my sites and to test, test, test, and test to find new ways to get traffic.

When I read Private Posts Volume 1 and realised the power of a good backend, something I hadn't really been that interested in or had done automatically without much thought.

My biggest AHA moment came in 2002 when I realized that business's knew jack **** about what goes on ONLINE.

My second AHA moment came in 2003 when I realized that I can't chase for leads on the Internet, and that converting someone from offline to online business was more lucrative

My third AHA moment came in 2004 when I realized that if I stopped drop shipping on EBAY and instead used my own store I could increase my profit margins by 25%, as well as create niche stores using long tailed keyword names.

My fourth AHA moment came in 2005 when I realized that I can BUY lists from salesgenie for new homeowners in the area and market my stores based on their demographics.

My fifth AHA moment came in 2006 when I realized that I can use software to build large streams of traffic and lists, and began building software to help investors predict certain technicals in trading.

My six AHA moment came in 2007 when I realized that I can build a membership and receive constant passive income for my three months of setup.

My seventh AHA moment came in 2008 when I realized that a website that receives constant income and traffic can sell for 15 times the monthly income if you find the right buyer.

My eight AHA moment came in 2009 when I realized that interactivity and value increases potential and I should begin building larger sites that receive bids for advertising.

My ninth AHA moment came in 2010 when I realized I'm constantly having AHA moments and will continue having AHA moments as long as I continue building my business.

When I convinced someone to mail for one of my offers... jaw dropped as I hit 'refresh' in my PayPal account as order after order piled in. After that it was go-time.

I am not sure how it happened or what the exact circumstnaces were but the Aha came when I realized that the only thing standing in my way was a lack of focus. Shortly after, things started to really change.

I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed. And the number of times I succeed Is in direct proportion to the number of times I can fail and keep trying.

The situation where I had my AHA moment is to embarrassing to share but I realized the simplicity of online marketing and how much I was over thinking things.
