Need for Faith-Based Article Writing?

Hello,

I am really getting to know some terrific and passionate Warriors here on this forum.

I've been blogging and twittering for about 2 years now, without trying to produce cash through those social medias. It's been soley a ministry to encourage and uplift my followers through faith-based words and insight.

As many on here have shared with me, find something you are passionate about and write about it. Well, is there a niche or a demand for Faith-Based articles (encouragement, recovery, divorce, hope, etc..) ?

This is something I am thinking about pursuing, but I definitely do not know how much to charge or if I should sell articles individually or as a pack.

Any insight you could give me...

Peace.

This is really going to come down to your preference. You can offer to hire out as a writer, but each article will need to be unique.

You can write PLR packs, and then sell them to multiple people, reducing your amount of writing, and being able to have more freedom to choose the specific article topics.

Which way you choose, is going to depend more upon your preferred method of working.

The thing which pops into my mind immediately though, why are you not willing to profit by recommending the finest books, videos, and faith based materials you have used to your readers?

Be honest with them, and just let them know you will occasionally be telling them about an item you love, and will use an affiliate link to help pay for your time, and hosting.

Continue to build and promote your own mission through article marketing, and creating content, allowing the power of your convictions, and belief in your recommendations to pay for itself.

    Just something to ponder.

Thank you for your insight, I greatly appreciate it!

I always thought that it would be wrong to profit from helping others through encouragement or recovery. But I like how you said, "why are you not willing to profit by recommending the finest books, videos, and faith based materials you have used to your readers?

Be honest with them, and just let them know you will occasionally be telling them about an item you love, and will use an affiliate link to help pay for your time, and hosting."

Sounds like I need to hone-in on a specific area and start writing my convictions and passions down.

Thanks for pointing me a good direction.

      Peace.

I'm with the Dragon on this one...

I grew up Irish Catholic, and even the priests living under a vow of poverty passed the plate on Sunday. Although it seemed that as you moved up the Church hierarchy, the definition of "poverty" got quite a bit looser...

If you are doing good work, you deserve to be rewarded...

I have a few ministries of my own and have promoted them through article writing. I would suggest that you either find others that are looking for this or write your own on EZA or another article directory with a well monetized site.

Great to know someone who doing already doing this. I will take a look at EZA. What I don't have is a monetized site. I was thinking of ways to maybe write articles on specific Faith-Based topics and see if someone else would like to buy them.

I am website illiterate. As I said before, I know how to blog and have a strong following on Twitter. Website creation has been a big failure for me in the past. Mainly because, I don't know how to set up key words, and make the site rich with content.

Anyways, it's good to know that others are supporting their ministries through various avenues of IM.

      Thank you!

      Peace.

Hi. I am tempted to say that this is a question you must answer from personal research. Real honest-to-goodness 'leg work' on your part.

You have a gift that was given to you for a purpose. Not only do you love to write about encouragement, recovery, divorce, hope, but you have an opportunity to make a living from it.

The Word says your gifts will make room for you. In this sense, it has made room for you in a special niche which can also bring supplemental income. It's a two-fold blessing. It blesses the reader and you at the same time. Isn't that great?

You have nothing to be squeemish about as far as profiting from your articles. The likes of Joel Olsteen, TD Jakes, and Joyce Meyer will tell you that writing about spiritual subjects can be quite lucrative.

Just like any other business professional with specialized experience, like a doctor, lawyer, or SEO specialist, you can offer a service as well.

It's up to you whether you will move forward on this. If it were me, I'd have pen and paper in hand and read to go. There's a recession going on out there, and this may be a unique way for you to stay afloat and keep some money going. In scripture that's called "a ram in the bush". :-)

You have put this issue into perspective.

If you're not a pastor/preacher, then there's nothing wrong at all in profiting and making a living in the areas you describe.
Of course, if you're a pastor/preacher, then grubbing around for money is a grave sin.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Given the many economic and political challenges many of us have faced over the past few years, some helpful words of encouragement or advice may be just the ticket. These trying times have people questioning their own abilities and future. People need hope and encouragement so I'd encourage you to write about positive and hopeful topics. It may be just the stimulus someone needs.

Oh and regarding whether or not to charge for the information, I believe that if you give of yourself unselfishly, it will benefit you in the long run. Some of the most influential religious leaders are very wealthy people. However they do good work and help a lot of people. But I would suggest you initially provide helpful and encouraging content and then consider monetizing it in some fashion. But as I said earlier, give of yourself unselfishly and the rest should take care of itself. Just my thoughts so thanks for listening.
