Need GOOD Search Engine Friendly WP Templates!

Have been looking for decent out of the box Search engine friendly Wordpress templates for a while now with no luck.

I dont mind free or paid for - I just want something where I dont spend forever tweaking the pages!

Any recommendations from fellow Warrior members much appreciated

Any wordpress template that allows you to enter a title and text is SEO-friendly.

This. $99 premium templates are search engine friendly just like free ones. When you see "search engine friendly" on the features of a template, it's just advertising. SEO is done with content.

By the way, I suggest Thesis too, it's a great template.

I'm a big fan of Thesis and it does a good job with SEO. Version 1.7 is supposed to be even better in terms of giving you more control over category and tag pages and a few other nooks and crannies. Just about any theme will be better with the "All In One SEO" plugin (or so I hear - Thesis doesn't need it).

Scribe is pretty good, but a bit young as it was only released about two weeks ago. So it has some rough edges and I'm not sure the pricing is perfect for everyone. I have a pretty extensive Scribe SEO review on my blog, if that helps.

I looked at Thesis, and was very impressed. But it appears he is asking $87 for a one time use (ie, use it one web site only). Did I mis-understand that?

The Semiologic theme is supposed to be good although I haven't tried it myself. But there's some testimonials from fellow Warriors on the salesletter. Also there was a pretty good thread about it a few months back if you can find it.

I appreciated that but the point I was making is that loads of WP themes look good but the structure behind the scenes isnt the best for SEO (eg H1 replaced by DIVs, repeated use of H1 on a page etc).

I need templates that have taken into account SEO when being built rather than having to tweak the templates myself.

Search for simple themes like Adsensation which is adsense integrated and also simple and elegant in looks. For trying something else, try flexibility theme for wordpress. And yes for making site Google friendly, use the All in one SEO plugin.. Works well.

With Thesis you won't go wrong. But there are plenty other nice themes out there, for example the themes from iThemes or Studiopress.

I have heard people have had excellent success with studiopress and there has been some involvement with an SEO expert on building their themes. There was thread about it here on the WF some time ago.

Thesis is the way to go, the support forum offers awesome insight on how to tweak the theme, I purchased the unlimited website edition and use for many of my sites, the best part about thesis is the design flexibility, you can change the colors in seconds, you can add custom css within your WP admin panel, and no need for a SEO plug in

iThemes looks easier to use to me and it is much cheaper. But, it seems like most everyone likes Thesis. I am trying to decide between the two.
