I got an Infraction...now my sig is not working??

What effects to Infractions have on one's account functions and privileges?

I got an Infraction and just tried to add a sig but nothing is added.

Is it just me or am I being prevented in doing so?

Enlighten me please!

Good question, I'd like to know, too.

I see a question mark in your sig -- did you put that there?

Can you guys share what you did (or did not) do
with others so they can be sure that they do not
      get infractions? Thanks.

Sure...just don't try and defend yourself in other people's WSO's! (when they call out out for something)..

Just be a good boy and WF will love you

        Sure.

        Don't do anything.

        You'll eventually get an infraction.

Can just anyone give out Infractions?

I know from the old WF, Allen said a member has to have X number of posts, before they can 'moderate', i.e. get posts removed etc..

I am pretty sure that anyone can give out an infraction.

            Adeel,

I know of the thread that you got the infraction in and the only thing I can really say to you here is that you would be better off leaving it alone and maybe even giving that guy a public apology.

I am a former customer of yours and I'm sure I will be a customer of yours in the future, but reading that pissed me off a little bit and it had nothing to do with me.

Sure, I don't know the details, but in any case it wasn't professional and appeared to be uncalled for.

            Learn and move on,

            Jeremy

as I understand it, only the moderators or admin can enforce an infraction generally ranging from a 1 day ban, or 2 day week, fortnight or outright ban.

You can ban via username, email or IP or all three..

              Cheers

Anyone can give an infraction, and you can see exactly what it was for and who it was given by.

click on the person's name, I use Adeel here as it is his thread and view his profile. You will see infraction, and it will show which thread he got it, the reason for it, for insulting another warrior and which warrior gave it.

Not sure how the positive infraction works

I hope this raises a flag...

Someone could just enroll into the WF
tonight and start infracting people like
crazy for no reason. Yeah, they'll get
caught after awhile - but they'd create
one heck of a mess for someone to
                    clean up.

My suggestion would be that someone
would need to be a member for at
least 6 months and have at least 200
post or something in order to hand out
                    infractions.

People around that long would know
                    what's right and what's wrong.

Just my 2 cents and thoughts on the
subject to make things easier in the
                    long run.

I've changed it to where infractions are not serious...

What they are for, on this board, is for members to help 'train' new people who are screwing up before they get themselves banned.

We have perfect methods for dealing with actual abusers. If you notice you don't see actual spam messages exist here for long. That's because when enough members use the report post button they vanish within moments and become visible only to mods.

The infractions will stay because it gives members the ability to warn new people here that they are making some mistake, and they can then correct it or get booted.

The infractions also expire after 10 days...

So no worries about infractions. Use them for what they are intended for. If you get one you don't feel is right don't bother contacting anyone, just let it expire..

                      No problems...

I'm giving you all an infraction for talking about infractions. First, and second rules of Warrior Club: Don't talk about infractions!

Moderators still have to do something about infraction notices I'd imagine. A post can only go away if they push the button, so if they see someone screwing around and giving good posts infractions, I'd imagine they'd understand what's happening there.

(And hopefully remove the dorks who give out stupid infractions!)
