Any free list building ideas?

I'm looking to start building a list off my blogger page, but for the time being i need a free way to start building it. I had the idea that i would have anyone interested in the news letter i would be offering would sent an email to start their sign up, but cant see many people actually taking the time out to go and send the email. So i was wondering if there is any software out there that will collect emails for me? I can send off the letters on my own for the time i just need a simple program to collect the sign ups, does anyone know of such a program that is free?

    Of course! You can use Google Feedburner, and then embed the code into your blog. What's cool about Feedburner, is that all confirmed subscriptions will receive an email everytime you make a new post on your blog. I have it embedded in my blog and works like a charm!
