My first $1000 in IM

Just a little excited and wanted to share with everyone how I made my first $1000 in IM in a little over 2 months.

Well to start, I picked a good book, one written by Dan Brock about amazon affiliate marketing. I read his book and I took action. A few years ago I got interested in IM but ended up doing nothing but spending way too much on adwords and spending way too much time on this forum (nothing against it).

Ok, so I've got a verifiable method for making money online with amazon. I picked a hobby related niche on Amazon and got a domain. Went with wordpress and I love it.

I updated this blog once per week and I made posts with keywords directly targeting product names in this niche. I backlinked these posts. My main source of backlinks were web 2.0, social bookmarks, and profile backlinks.

I started to see some success but nothing to write home about. I got the website making about $100 per month.

Offline I own a pizza business and I am currently moving locations. Because of this move I've incurred some unexpected expenses and I needed to come up with some money quick.

I decided to sell my blog on Flippa. At the time of sale it was earning roughly $80 per month and had 15 unique articles and 8 posts ranking on the first page of Google for some decent keywords with 1500+ searches.

Well, it sold yesterday for $1000. The transaction is complete and the money is in my account. This has been very motivating for me, and really puts things in perspective. I could make 2 to 3 websites like this per month if I focus hard and outsource the work.

I've found a business model which I think is worth pursuing and I just wanted to break things down for anyone who is struggling to see the light with this make money online thing.

Getting a website to make $100 per month is a really attainable thing to do, and in my research sites that earn this month usually sell for $800 to $1000. Anyone struggling to make a dollar online, follow this model. I know it wasn't very specific and if anyone has questions I'll do my best to answer. I am far far away from where I'd like to be, but I think I've found the way I'm going to make something of my online endeavors.

Most importantly, if there is only one thing that comes from this...and its something that has been said over and over. Pick a method and stick with it. Take action, action, action. Be patient and stay positive. In the words of Napoleon Hill, "Action is the real measure of intelligence."
