Any "RAP" users? How's it going for you?

Hey Warriors,

I was thinking about pulling the trigger on
RAP. I meant to awhile back, just saw the
ad above, and now thinking about it again...

If you own it, do you have any feedback
you'd like to share? I'd appreciate it. Thank
you.

    I just bought it today but I'm having trouble installing the sucker. And I'm okay with script installs. I just opened a ticket with the RAP help desk. So, for me so far...frustrating--It's probably something dumb I'm over looking. :-)

      I'm 99.8 % right-brained. I have a hard
      enough time programming our coffee
      maker. I've programmed it to make
      coffee whenever it feels like it - even
      if it's 2 AM... or 3 PM.

      Anyone offer install services?

        I had no trouble installing it - just don't use it haha - It's a great piece of software but somehow I always get worn-out before I finish getting a site together with it and end up throwing up a minisite linked to smartdd..

        Still what holds me back I don't know.. just unfamiliar with it I guess. In any case installation was easy enough on my server - I just followed the instructions and it worked.

        It is a valuable script - no doubt about it. Lots of useful features.

        I have used fellow warrior Jeff Usher's services before:

        10 Dollar Install

        He does a great job at installs. He's on vacation until the 15th and I was all excited to get it going. :-) One of my products will be on a giveaway site launching Tuesday so I wanted to have RAP up and running for that.

        I'm sure the RAP folks will help me out.

          There are a number of RAP customers who will do cheap installs for you. You can locate them on the cutomer support forum at Rapid Action Profits :: Index. Most of the forum is "private", so you'll have to register to see the cutomer-only sections.

          Also, I've responded to your your helpdesk ticket, and am glad to have a look at your specific situation.

    RAP is one of the best and simplest scripts I have found. Several affiliate programs on my entire nuttiepartners.com site runs on it. Some ppl find it hard to install and others find it harder to use, but to me it looks much simpler than the other scripts I have used.

    Oh, and you get free upgrades. I know a lot of developers say it but rarely stick to their promises, but with RAP, I have lost count of how many patches and upgrades I have had in 2008 alone (I purchased the script in 2007)

    Just my 0.02 cents.

    EDIT: their upgrade process is a bit time consuming. You would have to disable ALL products from the control panel (which is easy to do), upgrade the script and then re-enable all the products one by one (which takes a lot of time). I am seriously thinking about outsourcing the upgrade part the next time they offer an upgrade.
