How could I promote my eBook to affiliates?

Hello WF!

I've been searching through the forums intensely but am running into an issue finding what I think is a pretty basic question. I think perhaps I just don't know how to ask it correctly, so here is a stab at it.

Any idea on how to put my eBook in front of people who affiliate Clickbank products? I just created an eBook which is sold through Clickbank. I am trying to get the word out to affiliates to get them to promote it. I'm sort of lost on the best way to try and get people to sell the eBook I have. I have a great landing page (continually WIP as I improve it), fully integrated with Clickbank, 75% affiliate commission, and all around it is ready to roll.

Does there happen to be a particular forum for these types of posting, or is there a list of people who affiliate other products I could get into?

Many thanks in advance!!

You are in the right place, there is a JV announcement area of this form where you can announce affiliate programs too, and you should probably also poist at Digital Point forums, beyond that there are a few other places, and also a fair amount of "affiliate program directories", and also paid advertising, but I would make sure your conversion rate is really solid before you fully dive in.

Here's a few methods you can try:

1.) Announce your program on abestweb.com
2.) Get listed in all the affiliate program directories (there are also services that will do this for you)
3.) Become an active member of the many webmaster forums online. Add your program to your signatures and post in the marketplaces.
4.) PPC - bid on terms *whatever* affiliate program
5.) Find relevant websites that hold top rankings and make them an offer they can't refuse
6.) Find who is promoting your competitors products and contact them

    Hi Ti,

Your eBook looks a lot like mine (but I cover a different illness niche). I think my idea is as brilliant as yours and I should sell zillions of eBooks. However, I've not yet made a sale (to be fair, I'm still google sandboxed which doesn't help). Do you think people are sceptical of cures they find online? Do they think it won't work, even though it will?

I signed up for clickbank last week but after a rush off affiliates signing up I've had very few daily hops.

    Thanks sub!

This JV area, I just took a peak at the forum directory, but I don't see what you are referring to for announcing affiliate programs (I don't even know what JV stands for?). Could you paste the link that you are referring to? Thanks

I agree that checking the conversion should happen first, which is something I am focused quite clearly on and will be over the weeks.

DrGUID - I believe you are mistaking excitement and willingness to research and learn for reckless hope. With that said, I wish you luck with your ebooks, and perhaps we both will sell zillions. Even so, I'm more interested in this first eBook of mine to be more of a learning event.

    Thanks for the comments Azuka.

Quick question: What is the best way to get the email address of your affiliates? Clickbank doesn't seem to tell you anything about them except their affiliate ID. I'd love a chance to chat with the affiliates to let them know I'm here and willing to help with whatever that will make the affiliates have a better job at promoting and converting their leads.

Many vendors put an email opt in box on their affiliate page to collect their affiliates email addresses. I'm a clickbank affiliate, and your product does look interesting, but I tend to stay away from sales pages with "affiliate" links at the bottom since you will often lose many sales that way.

Hey there! I have no problem removing the affiliate link, in fact I can do it right now. The problem is, how would affiliates know to promote the product if I remove it?

UPDATE: I just removed the affiliate link at the bottom per your comment. Any other tips?

Thanks for the tip, any others that I could do to make the site easier for you to sell?

This is my first eBook from personal experience, and I'm more than happy to make changes right away to appeal to affiliates more!

PS: I have a video intro being made right now, plus either myself or my GF (who also had asthma as a child) are going to be making a custom introduction video also.

        Many thanks!!
