A Dilemma - What To Do When A Particular Page of a Site is Very Popular, But Doesn't Convert?

OK, let me explain....

I have a Wordpress site that has a few pages along the top, which serve as introductions to the main topics of the site. The main content is in the form of posts though, and they appear in the main section of the site. To my eyes, the posts look more attractive(they are in rows of 2 posts, on top of each other with a pic and summary) than the text link pages along the top.

It's clearly a different story for my visitors though. When they land on the site, they are often drawn to the pages along the top, and in particular one page which has an article about a specific topic. Since I put the site up back in August, this page has had double the views of ANY other page or post on the entire site.

The title of the page must draw them into clicking it. I feel the article within is a very good one, but if I was a visitor I might be a little disappointed with it because it talks about a certain issue/problem in a perhaps unorthodox way. Plus, it isn't 'salesy' and I can understand why it doesn't have people reaching for their credit cards when they see the products pitched at the end of it.

I don't want to get rid of this page, because like I said, I feel it is a good, and helpful article. But I'm pretty positive it is hampering my efforts to make money with the site, as most visitors seem to visit the page and don't end up buying anything. I'm promoting 4 CB products on the site, all of which are very good(in my opinion) and completely suited to the specific problems in the niche.

In a way, I can't understand why my visitors are so drawn to this page  It's literally got a one word title. There are something like 30 more articles on the site. One I put up last week, which is specifically reviewing the products and presenting them as options to visitors, is barely getting a look, despite it being at the top of the posts.

I have a few options, but was just looking for some advice on which one to go with

1. Get rid of the page completely - I don't want to do this because I feel it adds value to the site for the visitor.
2. Edit the article on the page to give it more chance of converting Perhaps pitch a product or two early on, or in the middle, rather than at the bottom.
3. Completely rewrite the article to give them exactly what they want, and in doing so try and persuade them to buy one of the products related to this topic.
4. Make the page private for a while, and see how it affects traffic and conversions.
5. Make the page a post instead of a page and put it low down in the displayed posts.

As you can see, quite a dilemma, that I am probably being way too neurotic about The bottom line is - this site isn't making as much money as I would like and I'm wondering if this has something to do with it. Any advice much appreciated

So far today, the site has had 13 visitors and that page has had 11 views I've decided to make it private for a few days to see how that affects things. I'm probably going to end up rewriting it though.
