Why do so many warriors fall for Gimmicks

Hi,

I have been browsing through the WSO offerings and there are many good and powerful ones there.

However, there are also some based on gimmicks, gimmicks which at best will only work short-term .

Yet it appears this is what the starving warrior journey man and woman is craving for.

And it makes no logical sense. Its like building your house on sand in the middle of the hurricane season.

The trurth is only the real marketers who are honest and have been successsful will tell you : there is innovative strategy based on sound principles that with not too much application will build you inceasing and scalable long term wealth and there are gimmicks that are 99% shock short-term until if they work at all and will result in a flood of lazy copy-cats and spammers , which results in google etc getting mad and putting a sudden stop to them.

Those who base their business on gimmicks invariably discover that they are fools and failures , but those who base their IM business model on sound and innovative stategy end up living a life of comfort and relaxation.

I don't think its people actually falling for a gimmick every time. The offer, or WSO, whatever, might actually be something that person needs for their particular business at the time. I mean lets face it, not everything we see in here is going to be some earth shattering revelation about I.M. I mean that would be impossible, its just not going to happen. This business has been around since 1995. Almost everything has been thought of in one form or another.

Gimmicks themselves are not bad. Some fill a need for certain people....but I know what you mean. There is some pretty cheesy stuff out there. The thing is, to newbies suffering from overload and not really understanding how any of it really works, some of that stuff sounds really good to them.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. People can put a product out there about anything and newbies fall for it. But at the same time these things have to be taken for a blueprint. And if a newbie follows that blueprint and has some of there own creativity than they can actually benefit from these WSO's.

It's totally correct you won't have much long-term success working
with gimmicks.... they are like fads, which fade quickly.

I don't think gimmicky methods are a bad thing though, because
most people starting out in this business are thinking:

"I just want to make some money"

... and with some perseverance maybe they do, but wanting to
make some money is just a starting point for a business, and
arguably insufficient motivation for most people to succeed
in building a business, which is a lot of work.

Over time and with experimentation with different methods, some
of which may be short-term "gimmicks", you get a clearer
idea of what you like doing, what your strengths are, and
perhaps more important, what you don't like doing.

So you learn from doing these different things and you see
what fits your personality and life goals.

Learning is a good thing, no?

Over time you figure out what you DON'T WANT to do -
and this is very valuable because it allows you to sort through
the endless options with some sort of criteria more refined
than "want to make some money" or "want to have my own
      business".

Eventually, when you get it sorted out what you DO WANT,
then it's pretty easy to discern which information is likely to
be worth looking into to better your skills, and which to
ignore. It's all about discernment. Discernment develops
over time and through direct personal experience.

You have to change the way you view these things. Anytime I see a "formula" or a "blueprint" for success I know it's likely crap. If it were a formula that's guaranteed then why would anyone sell it?

However that's not to say these WSOs are all junk, far from it. Many of them contain good ideas and great information compiled from multiple sources. If you look at these things as a guide rather than a blueprint, you're a lot better off.

Use them to get ideas and gather data but don't expect the silver bullet. When you're first starting out in IM you're constantly searching for it, but after a while you find it doesn't exist. There are no solid "formulas" that work every time, just good ideas and techniques you can apply to your own business.

People are generally lazy and want quick push button results

They are not willing to work hard and want everythign handed to them

Marketing focuses a lot on selling hopes and dreams and not the truth because not many people want the truth.

          For example what sounds better

"Earn $500 in 3 days using an automated quick push button system a newbie can use"

          Or

"Stay very focused for 3 months, persist learn from your mistakes and make $100 per day within your first 90 days online!"

95% of people will go for option #1

Accepting the givens that there are some completely junky products out there that promise the world and don't come close to delivering, there is nothing wrong with gimmicks themselves.

Take the Total Gym or the Bowflex. Both are expensive gimmicky products. Most bodybuilders scoff at the idea of using them,... but they do work. Do they work better than working out with a cheap set of free-weights and doing aerobics? No. But they are faster, easier, and maybe even funner for some people. Will they win them a bodybuilding contest? Of course not, but it may get them motivated enough to work out regularly.

Gimmicks are ways to get people interested. They aren't inherently good or bad.

Gimmicks also make a part of trial and error process. They help to repell those who lack determination to succeed in business and leaves more room for truly competitive spirits.

Leave it for naive and lazy people. They might gain valuable experience, even not excatly the kind they expect.
