I have an Aweber question - Can I do This?

Ok this is what I am trying to figure out.

I have an opt-in form for my Book Flips buyers to get course updates (they sign up at the time of purchase.)

I have another opt-in form for my Book Flips blog. This one is for general tips and information about flipping books.

Is there a way to have both forms sign up to the same list, but have certain emails (course updates) go only to the people who opt-in on the buyer's form?

Or do I have to do separate lists to accomplish this?

I like to keep things simple if I can, and I know that buyer's would want to be on the information list, so I don't want people to have to opt-in twice.

Thanks
Teresa

If you go into aweber then the drop down "My Lists" click on the "Automation" tab and you should be able to have a user automatically subscribe to two separate lists.

Or, you can segment your list so you can send to the "full list" or just a segment of it.

Hope that helps, not sure if I fully understood the question or not.

The best way I can think of is using the automation in Aweber. That will sign them up for both lists, but send out separate follow ups to the individual lead.

Just under My List, then click the automation link.

    Hope that Helps

Yes, I know about using automation. I think that segmenting is what I'm looking for. I have gone in there and played around with it, but so far it is not doing things right. I will keep trying. Or make a separate list.

    Thanks.
