Pushing the boundaries of product reviews

Does anyone have any experience with the limitations on product reviews?

I'm talking specifically about IM video reviews, for example can you:
- show the members area?
- show the product in action?
- be forced to take it down by the vendor if they're not happy?
- give a bad review (rare i know but if you slam a product can it get you in trouble?)

Basically, what CAN'T you do in a review? Obviously you cant give away the content by showing the specifics in the members area, but is everything else fair game?

    I'm in the same boat as you. if the vendor doesn't like the review he can't force you to take it down but he can drop you from the affilliate program.... Not to hijack your thread, can affiliates post reviews from the product page on their review page?

    I would never negatively review a product - what is the point? it is not going to make you any sales, might make you look desperate if you advise your product instead of it, and can only get you into a flame war with the product owner really.

    I think all other elements are possible, but it is perhaps best to check with the product owner what they would be happy with - or even what they would recommend - what has worked / hasnt for other people.
