Pretty straightforward... http://www.godaddy.com domains are $.99 + $.18 ICANN registration fee.

Grab your domain and enter BUY2010 in the coupon area.

Voila, a brand-spanking-new domain for less than a latte.

Now, go take ACTION!

Warmly,

Brandi

      Some?
      Did you open multiple accounts?

If so, do you know if/when they can be transferred to your main account?

Man I have so many domains on my shortlist.
They had the same deal during SuperBowl but I only bought one then.

      Hi, thanks for posting this.

Is it still the case that in order to have the WHOIS information kept private, you'd still have to pay $9.99 per year? Or is there another way around that?

NameCheap offers first year's free WhoisGuard; so if someone just wanted a cheap domain (eg, a .info), and their WHOIS information private, would it be better for them to go with NameCheap instead?

      Just seeking clarification - thanks.

I have nothing of value to add here. But we can't let a signature go to waste now, can we?

Sorry for the late update. I just lost $400 on some fake UK basketball tickets for a game that I was supposed to be going to-- I should have stayed at home and answered my thread-- ha! (I'd be $400 richer, wouldn't I?)

The way I "get around this" is register some cheap .info domains. If you register a total of 5 domains, you get free whois privacy for all of them. So, while you are still spending $.99 x 5 you are getting 5 domains for $5 plus tax.

Hope that helped a bit and glad y'all are able to use it!

        Warmly,

        Brandi

          Brandi, thanks for that.

Is the deal regarding free WHOIS privacy for registering 5 domains or more an ongoing thing, or is it a time-sensitive offer?

Thanks, again - I wasn't aware of this.

I wish it worked for renewals but it doesn't - have one that was due to expire tomorrow and tried the code but it wouldn't take it.

But nonetheless it's always nice when someone posts a code for cheap domains, thanks!

    To try is to risk failure; But risk must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing; The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing and is nothing; He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love and live;

If like any of their coupons before, they set an arbitrary number of uses for the coupon. Those uses normally long expire before the actual expiration date.

The actual date of expiration? I don't know.

Sorry I couldn't be much help

I almost always get to pay less than $8 on new domains (.orgs as well) at Godaddy.

I make ample use of this website (click links for other registrars):
Domain Promo Codes - Godaddy Promo Codes, Godaddy Coupon Codes,Godaddy Promotion Codes

If buying new .com, use $6.99 ones (like goaz2001ai).
For buying new .net or .org or .biz use the $7.49 one (cjctld749)

If renewing .com, use cjc749dom ($7.49).
For renewing .net or .org use gd50bbpd5 (again $7.49).

There was another code there that considerable lowered the cost of buying or renewing .tv domains that I used a few times but I hunted it somewhere else online that I just can't remember.

This didn't happened to one or two, there are hundreds posting bad reviews about that thing they do on renewal, that's why I just never buy from them.
I have never paid full price for registration or renewal on any domain. When I buy anything from Godaddy I go to Google and search "godaddy promo code". I have never found a situation where I could not get some kind of discount on registration or renewal.

I registered a .org earlier this week and got it for $7.67, this site seems to have codes that work well:

Live Godaddy Promo Codes / Coupons

Thanks for the code, I was on the fence about building a site but for $1.18 how can you go wrong?

That blogspot site is owned by the same people doing domainpromocodes.com actually. They were only on blogspot for a while before they moved onto their own domain(s). I like the domain version better because people can report if coupons work or not.

I've been purchasing domains from GoDaddy for years now and I've never had a problem. I watch for coupons when it's time to renew and look for good deals like the one listed here. Of course, I have my own hosting company - I'd never go through them for hosting!
