How do you promote a video?

Other than Youtube - how else do you promote a video which is designed to get people to visit a site?

      There are numerous traffic strategies that are available so it all depends on what your budget for money and time are. You can always buy traffic (Google Adwords, CPA Networks, etc.) or you can use free strategies (blogs, social media, forums, etc.)

      If you could provide me with a little bit more info on what your overall objective is then I will be able to help you out a little bit more.

      A. YES

      Actually I have two videos - each with a different objective - although both are designed to get people to 'go to a site'

      Site One - Political objective (content)

      SAVE THE MORTGAGE INTEREST DEDUCTION (video embedded on site also)

      Site Two - My own "Pre Sales Page" for a Clickbank Product

      [site under construction]

      (same type of video as in example above, stimulates interest in benefits obtainable through Clickbank Product - then provides link to site)

      I put the first one on Youtube and have had maybe 40 views only- wah!

      You can take advantage of the video bookmarking sites such as Video Bomb, Furl, StumbleVideo and Digg.com and always use a catchy title for them.
