Newbie question on article marketing

Hi all,

I've created a squeeze page site with a free ebook to build my list. I've decided to give article marketing a try, and I have a few questions for the experienced article marketers out there:

(FYI my niche is in building websites to earn money online)

1. Speaking from your personal experience, if I you were to hypothetically write 15-20 articles, would it produce a steady stream of traffic, or does it eventually plateau and diminish over time?

2. The more articles, the better right? 50+ articles should bring in a reasonable amount of traffic (1000+ visitors) right?

3. Is it wise to submit the same article you write to multiple article directories (EZine, Goarticles, etc.)?

How much traffic you may get really depends on the niche you are targeting. I could write a million articles on the life cycle of ants (or some other crazy topic) and probably only get a few article views.

If the subject matter has a great deal of interest then you can expect people to read your articles and click through.

Yes, you can submit the same article to multiple directories. (Don't do it under different pen names or anything like that.)

No! If you do not know how to go about doing keyword research then you can write 50 articles and get little to no traffic.

Alright. Lets say you have found a good niche. however it really has nothing to do with your site. How do you write articles about that linking it back to your site?

If you write 10 articles everyday then yes it will get you a good traffic.
but articles should be of A+ quality and should be written for human users not only for Google bot.

    2. The more articles, the better right? 50+ articles should bring in a reasonable amount of traffic (1000+ visitors) right?

It doesn't matter that how many total articles should be there but all depend on how consistent you are. Everyday bring up with 10 articles least. Always use good targeted keywords.

    3. Is it wise to submit the same article you write to multiple article directories (EZine, Goarticles, etc.)?

It is alright. But i would suggest that you change little bit and submit to directories. It wont be then considered as duplicate content and your article will rank high in Google.

Tip: Always use one keyword after 100 words. This will create perfect content for both Google and Human users.

    I hope i helped you.

It wont be classed as duplicate content even if it is the same article. Just use the same pen name for your article and put it on whatever directories you want, put it on your site aswell, i think they call it syndication or something

A set number of articles does not equal a set amount of traffic. Yes, if you just write an article and forget about it, you probably won't get that much traffic for it. It's like an ezine burst and then it's gone....time to write out a few more articles for some traffic. It's better to learn decent keyword research and rank some articles for long term traffic. Learn some basic seo and link building. It will pay off big time.

Doing raw article marketing for directory traffic only will eventually dry you out. How many times can you write about the same topic?

If you can find some long tail phrases, like really long. You will rank on page one almost automatically. But, that's only for really weak keywords. But automated traffic is better than having to work for it day and night by pounding out another 400 words or regurgitated content. For what, maybe 50 visitors if you're lucky. Then do it all over again tomorrow.

The key is to stay on task and try and work smarter. I realize that if you're just starting out and don't know much about seo, article marketing without any seo benefits is just fine to build up some seed money for some serious seo campaigns.

Get yourself some bookmark tools and sign up for a backlink program like paul or angela. Try big mike's social bot. Total cost would be maybe 50-100 for a decent amount of backlink targets and some SB software.

A little time spent upfront will save you a lot of headaches later. But for now, if you must not do any seo, make sure you have a catchy title that makes people want to click through and then have a compelling resource box.

    Cheers

Well......I think quantity of articles doesn't matter to get traffic. But your keyword research matters to get more traffic and business.

Just do good keyword research then make 10-15 high quality articles daily. But contents of your articles should be picky and have magnetic effect so that they can attract the readers. Then submit to different article directories. Doubtlessly, you'll start earning traffic on your website.

Threads asking how to do Article Marketing come up quite often here - so I have a standard reply - I hope this helps:

Two brilliant threads to read about article marketing are these:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...marketing.html

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...eza-first.html

Read them both - all the way through - and take notes.

For further information I recommend the following directory - It is education in article marketing - a guide book and monthly newsletters - with a directory thrown in! You can read what Warriors think about it here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...alks-walk.html

Article Directory - Article Marketing Community

I can also recommend the WSO's from this guy:

This guy also has some good stuff - some article marketing some on other things

    Hope this helps.
