Marketing to Youngsters On The Web??

Hi

Where can I pull data about online child behavior?
I know they don't really use the web that much between the ages of 6-12.
They are also very mobile phone driven.

My guess is to target online game platforms and chat rooms because that's the place where youngsters would hang out the most.

I wish I can pull some data somewhere.

For instance...if disney had to market something online...how would they do it?

Any advice would be great?

    Hey

    If you want to ask them about their perception on "Marketing/Business", then you have to look for them in forums like WF, DP etc.

    In short, look out in those places where they go!

    LOL....did you just recommend that I look for kids between 6-12 on forums?

    Kids that age don't even know what a forum is, yet alone use it.
    12 year olds might, but younger than that it's a no go.

    I'm looking for a company or resource where I can pull data around child behaviour and how marketing applies to that.

    I assume their parents and peers tell them about it? Or they are influenced via other advertising mediums such as TV and Print.

    It's just difficult for me to comprehend the fact that a 6 year old will "google" or even register on a forum to chat. They might get past everything until they see the "captcha" and they will be like WTF? LOL...can you see what I'm trying to say?

      What? You expect a parent to tell his 6year old child that how much he can make per day?

      According to me, you should raise the age range for your survey because of the niche you wanna dive in.

          For instance...if disney had to market something online...how would they do it?
          They had go out in real world, or hire someone to do so, and ask children playing in gardens.

              I would seriously be very careful marketing anything to children and ensure you have all of your legals in place well before proceeding to hard or fast.

              Be careful of children's privacy and their ability to actually use the internet from law perspective.
