    Hey...

As long as you have something constructive to write in a comment of a blog or website forum or social network...

And if your website pertains to the same type of content... then put a little signature under your name and url to your website... no big deal... you shouldn't just blatantly 'spam' just to get your link on that comment or webpage.

It just puts your website link on other websites... called "back links" ... and search engines find your link on that website. That's what you want.

    Hope this helps!

Yes, that does help...thank you. Is there a way to find these kind of blogs/rss/websites that fall into my site category easier?

It's like this man, it probably won't benefit you if you have the "what's in it for me?" attitude.

Honestly it will be a chore & a task within itself more than it's worth.

I can say this because I know how you feel... it's kind of a drag, but if it'll help me...

I felt the same way... Until I realized people actually responded to my comments & then came & found my little blog as well. I found this out by accident by googling blogs +keyword & stumbling across a post I had commented on before. That changed my feeling towards it there.

While people will autoblog & spam the internet, there are real people who mind their blog/s as well.

If it's a chore, outsource it & it will be cheaper in the long run. If you can get past the "chore" of it it will be most beneficial to you. You can get others outlook/opinions & some of the questions others are really asking in the niche.

Even if you don't get a single visit from one of your posts it will still help you in that regard. Also there is commentluv WP plugin, I forgot how to search for it but google it & you can find blogs which will automatically post your last blog post at time under your comment & will automatically post title w/ link...

So you can put KW at beginning of blog post, then hop around blogs in your niche with commentluv, leave relevant comments without spamming & still get backlink with KW to your blog.

        Hope this helps man.

VERY helpful, thank you very much! I am not looking to just get something out of it, I actually enjoy going to others blogs and reading their comments. I just wanted to be sure that if I am going to be doing that, why not do it right that will benefit my time and my site.

          Thanks again!

Tell you one thing you don't want to do. Auto blog. Akismet will just own your face and you will never get through any serious blogs. Like mine.

You do benefit by posting and interacting with the community related to your forum/blog/site. You can learn many things from multiple communities in your niche.

You can just search for the most popular blogs in your niche from google. And yes, I do think it is worthwhile commenting on them. Not only it can bring you visitors, but it can also help in creating relationships with the bloggers which can really help you in the long run.
