Taking off the training wheels.

So, been doing this for almost one year now. Well, a year in May, actually. I've done a little of this and a little of that and been successful for the most part.

A few weeks ago, while talking to our very own illustrious Jeremy K, he asked me when I was going to take off the training wheels. MAN, did that p1ss me off! But alas, he's right. (God I'll never hear the end of that now, I just know it.)

Problem is, I still don't know what I want to DO in IM. Product creation? Site building? CPA gooorooo? Offline?

I know a little about a lot, but a lot about only one thing and that's niche blogging. I don't want that to be my future, though.

So, how do I decide? Do I need to decide?

I feel like I need to pick one area and concentrate. Is that what I need to do?

      Hmmm, here's a list. What do you think?
      • I loathe writing unless it's something I know a lot about (nature, animals, spirituality, conservation)
      • I dig creating websites but don't know a lot about html, just WordPress
      • ...then I lose interest and don't promote the websites properly
      • I do really well with people, face-to-face or online (especially new internet marketers)
      • I enjoy doing research (domains, keywords, niches)
      • I really really love helping people understand stuff

    Offline to create a residual monthly base income....outsource most everything so you have the time to persue your other ventures in IM....

    Why not teach others how to make niche blogs? Have a workshop or bootcamp or mentoring/coaching... whatever you want to call it. It's all pretty much the same thing. You could teach the finer points of blog creation & monetization, maybe get into blog flipping if you've done that too. I bet the interest would be high just here on this forum alone. And you have plenty of friends here to help you promote it.

    If that doesn't appeal, auction off your stunning collection of Go-Go Boots.

      Yeah, I've done site flipping too. Seriously, I've done a bit of everything. And the reason I don't want to concentrate on niche blogging is that it does take a lot of time to develop, maintain and monetize them. It usually takes a couple of months before you get to seeing any income and newbies tend to not understand that time frame and expect everything to happen overnight. Then they blame you when it doesn't. Ask me how I know...

    Hi Lisa,

    I don't know if this will help or not, but I Googled you yesterday, and you're all over the map.

    Perhaps you could find the niches that you are well ranked for and concentrate on getting more rankings in those niches.

    Now, having said that, maybe you are only in a few niches, but to the casual observer (me ) you seem to be spread pretty wide...

      Yeah, I am all over the board, because I was "tasting" everything to figure out what it was in IM I really wanted to concentrate on and specialize in.
