Advice needed on how to promote a blogger or blogspot blog

Hello

I am new to blogger and I would like a little help. In the past I have used wordpress all the way but now I feel like trying something different. I have heard of blogger or blogspot but never really paid much attention to it.

I have managed to create a blog. I have noticed there is a lot missing from blogger that wordpress includes. Blogger seems very basic to me. But this I suppose can be an advantage I suppose. Less to go wrong.

My question is I am after a little advice on how to promote a blogger blog. The easier the promotion methord the better. Any advice would be helpfull.

      Is it any different from promoting any other site? You have your domain-name just as for any other site (unless you're using a Blogspot sub-domain, I suppose - but that's not too professional-looking?) and promote it just like any domain, don't you? :confused:
      I understand that. But normally anyother domain is connected to a hosting where you have access to the hosting account via ftp and you can upload scripts and things to help you with your promotion efforts. With blogger you do not.

      Thanks for the heads up about the FTP with blogger. I was thinking of using that on a domain and hosting server for the very reasons I used above. Looks like thats out of the window.

    My first website was a blogspot blog. I havent updated it for more than a year, but am still getting some nice traffic. It is a video blog, and I just submitted every post to digg, reddit, stumbleupon etc. and It broad good traffic.

    My sincere advice would be to remain on wordpress as using blogger is just too risky for professionals. Besides, wordpress is clearly the better software of the two.
