2 graphics questions...

1) I found a free online service that lets me make buttons -- but they are "hosted" -- Why must a button be hosted (by the service) at all?

2) Can photoshop elements be used by itself -- or is it only an add-on to the "real" photoshop?

    Photoshop Elements 8 does not require Photoshop to run.
    You can download a free trail from the Adobe website and also but it from there for about $79.
    It is available for both Windows & Mac.

      Photoshop Elements is just a simpler version of Photoshop. It is not a plugin. If you want cool buttons and are new to Photoshop it is better just to use one of the above two sites.
