Everything Goes Back To The Old Standards - Eventually

Just an observation. many people tout that hard selling is bad, doesn't work anymore. You should give a lot of content to your visitors and they will eventually like and trust you and then buy from you...

Interviews have been done, reports written, all in the name of...giving your list a ton of free info, don't be a pushy salesman, hard sell doesn't work, give a lot of content...

but eventually, the people pushing those ideas seem to go back to the old direct marketing standards.

Blogs - where the ton of free content should be - sometimes are not updated for 5 months at a time and when it is, it is just to announce a new product...

Many products are sold with a simple sales piece whether it be a sales video or a salesletter.

It is done with the simple formula of ...

Here is a problem
You are having this problem
I have the solution to this problem
Here's my guarantee
Buy it now or you'll miss out.

And then followup emails are sent pushing you to watch videos and buy the product now because it's going away soon and you'll miss out and continue to have the problem if you don't buy now.

And the followup continues always pushing - better buy it now or you'll miss out.

So, they new "non pressure" stuff seems to slowly just turn back into the old direct response marketing methods.

Here is a tip - Scarcity is the BIGGEST trick to get a boatload of sales - bar none!

You need some type of a deadline and you need a consequence for not following the deadline. Whether that be...

losing the ability to purchase the product forever
a price hike if they dont order by the deadline
losing a bonus if they miss the deadline

etc.

This is the #1 tip to getting more sales now -

much more so than all those "new strategies" such as ... backstories, becoming their friend, giving them more free content, etc.
