Email template to make money now

I'd like to share a an email template you can use to email your list and
make money with today.

It's an email template for selling your own product and has worked very well for me.

---------------------

Subject Line: This is just Crazy

Hi there,

I am going to try something I always wanted to do but never
had the guts to do. And this is purely as a marketing test.

I want to see how fast I can sell xx copies of (product name)
if I sell it at a ridiculously low price.

You'll have to click the link below to see the ridiculously low
price. It will take you right to the secure order page:

www. cart sales form . com (link to your special priced item)

It's so far below the regular xx price you may do a double take.

But, like I said this is a test to see how fast I can sell at this
price.

Once xx sell, this low offer is pulled.

So if you ever wanted this, if it was too expensive for you
before,now is your chance.

www. cart sales form . com (link to your special priced item)

And, if you want to see all that you will learn, one last time,
you can do so here:

www. domain . com (link to salespage)

But remember, if you miss out at this price, you'll be
kicking yourself

www. cart sales form . com (link to your special priced item)

--Thank me later.

--------------

Of course, xx copies is a low number depending on your list size and
daily traffic. You may want to try 10 or 15 with a list around 5000 or so.

And of course, you should stick to your limit and this will work best
if the price is at least a half price discount.

Of course common sense must apply such as...if you have emailed your
list recently that you were performing a marketing test, you may not sound believable.

The link you send them too is directly to the order form, not the salespage
so they must have a familiarity with the product.

It's an interesting idea and I really can see the logic in it.. but what about your customers who bought it at full price?

If I paid a small fortune for a product, then received an email telling me I could have bought it at a massive discount, I wouldn't be annoyed or anything, just the next time I thought about purchasing from the same guy, I'd probably wait until he dropped the price on that offer.

Running sales is normal and something we all do, maybe the price of your original offer comes into play here. If it's a high ticket item that you're offering at a huge discount, I'd be prepared to have some pi**ed off customers.

If it's a low ticket item, I could really see this working very well.

pretty novel idea. thanks for sharing =)

but I'm going to agree about getting hatemail from the people who already purchased it.. I could see it working out decent if you segment your list and only blast it out to the people who have been sitting on the fence.

I can understand your concern, but that why it's important to segment your lists.

Big department stores have huge sales all the time. I was in "The Children's Place" yesterday and they had sale signs all all the place 30% off anything on this table, 40% off everything on that table.

Marketers far more well known that I, have done VERY similar things...

One changed offers and offered a product that was once selling for over $1000 and then had a limited time free plus s/h offer on the same product.

Another one, packages a set of templates, with the same idea as mine, and adds it as a huge value bonus to a package they sell.

So this is not new by any means. I just know the template I gave works - try it, you'll see.

Thanks. I've saved my first post for you, I guess. Always lurking in the background. But I was really ready to hear your point here. Thanks, again.
