So correct me if I'm wrong here but that reads to me that they want $19 a month for upto a list of 500 and there after more money as your list grows.

I want to have a list but untill I have a decent list I'm not earning from that list so can't justify the cost, initially.

Are there any other free options I can transfer to Aweber later ?

Cheers
Andy

$19/mo is very reasonable in my opinion.

If your list is over 500 and you're not making any money (and therefore can't afford AWeber's fees), I'd seriously re-evaluate your business.

      Hi Michelle,

Its not a case I cant afford it, all I'm saying is that untill I get to around about 500 I can't justify the cost. Once it starts paying for itself I don't have a problem, I just wondered if there was something else free I could use first and then transfer a decent list over to Aweber.

      Thanks for your responses guys

There are free services...I think MailChimp is free up to 500 subscribers but I'd advise not going into it with the thought that you'll just "transfer a decent list over to Aweber" in the future. Aweber (or any other service, for that matter) will force your subscribers to opt-in again, and you'll lose a large percentage of them. Start with the service you intend to keep.

Fair point, that makes a lot of sense

          Thanks, Aweber it is then.

Mailchimp is free for 500 subscribers. But their TOS don't allow affiliate marketing.
So, it's free. but I've never used it myself

Go with pro response, its an affiliate front end for aweber (not mine unfortunately), but I use it because they retained the old pricing structure.

$19.95 a month for up to 10,000 leads Identical to aweber once you log in.

    Thanks for that Aith.

And you're right, they are an Aweber private label reseller. So everything is Aweber, except who you pay and what the frond-end site looks like.

Actually, I was with Profollow and switched to Aweber as Profollow didnt allow you to resend unopens and other bits are missing.

However I had such shocking service when changing over, I cancelled with then and moved to Get Response whose service was excellent.

Email Marketing Solutions from TrafficWave.net | email marketing autoresponders may be an option for you. It's free for the first 30 days then $17.95 per month after that for unlimited subscribers.

When I was with them, I was a happy customer. Then, I decided to switch to Aweber mainly for the "brand name".

PHPlist is quite good for newsletters if you can self host it. Only thing is it won't do autoresponders.

I'm just about to test out Mad Mimi Email Marketing : Create, send & track emails with Mad Mimi. you can get 100 subscribers on their free account and then the costs seem to be lower than Aweber's though I haven't double checked.
