How He/She Achieved This?

Hi warriors...

I have a disturbing question right now.

I'm wondering how this person got the nº1 ranking in the "make money online niche".

Best of all is that, he/she is using a blogspot blog!
No domain name.No hosting.

He/She is literally making a KILLING right now.

How the heck he/she ranked first?

Just google "Make Money Online" and you'll see what I mean.

All the best,
Cesar Galano.

The better question is, why did they use a blogger blog and not there own domain? Possible secret there, maybe . I am sure she found some good backlinks, maybe they guest blogged, if you backlink anything enough, your get number 1.

    Links.

Usually there are 2 blogger blogs that both tend to go back and forth for the #1 spot, the one fell to page 2 from checking now.

Goes to show you that having your own site doesn't truly matter in the end.

It does matter. Think about what happens if blogger decides to ban your
account for some resaon. What's then?

It is always better to have your own domain, espescially when you are
putting so much work in trying to rank high.

I think that they are holding this spot for quite some time now. The answer
should be Great OnPage SEO (keyword rich articles) and great, great high
quality backlinks. And lot's of them.

Just had a look the answer looks like heaps of backlinks. They have been very busy. Some people are still not aware of the importance of the back link.

Her title is perfectly optimized for the keywords Make Money Online. She has a crapload of backlinks. Don't know how she got that many .... maybe she'll sell me the ebook

Probably on page SEO for the keywords as well. Didn't read it.

Here's the interesting thing...Let's assume these things are true:

    1. This blog has held the top spot for quite a bit of time, say at least 3+ months.

    2. The blog is consistently updated.

What does this say about "on page" optimization? After all, the content is changing regularly, which means the "keyword density" is also changing all the time, yet the ranking stays the same.

I've tried to make this point for years, there are plenty of dynamic, ever-changing pages that consistently rank high for the same keywords, even though the keywords on the page itself are in constant flux.

Again IMO, I believe for highly competitve keywords Google relies more on "off the page" criteria and for long-tail, low competition keywords, Google relies more on "on page". "Off page" doesn't change much, and when it does it isn't very fast. This would explain why the on-page content can change while the ranking for a particular keyword(s) doesn't.

    What's so disturbing about this?

The site is aged, has loads of content, and loads of backlinks.

And of course, It's optimised to rank for that keyword.

Whoever owns it really worked hard to get it there.

Lol. And BTW Who told you that he's making a killing?
    ... He's not. Just making a living that's all.

I'm pretty sure that he makes less than $3000 monthly
    from that site.
