My Blogspot My Domain Experiment

Ok I always suspected that my domain would always do better than a blogspot blog. I never have really measured this statistically because I have been doing this for ten years and have always followed my gut. I have asked several seasoned warriors and most say go with your own domain if possible.

As of 2/25/10 I picked a .com domain with a keyword of my choice and I used the same keyword in my blogspot domain. As of 2/27/10 I started promoting both sites.

So if I chose 'widgets' as my keyword I have the following domain ...

widgets.blogspot.com

My domain would be ...

widgets.com

I have submitted both sites using automated and semi automated software and subscription services. All things being equal I have also used the same exact article for my landing page and I have used the same spun articles from 35-40% for back links to both sites.

Each site will see the same spun articles.

I will not reveal the niche but I will reveal number of backlinks to both sites over the coming days.

Depending on interest I may reveal more with conversions.

Both sites are promoting the same clickbank product.

Over the several weeks I will be giving both sites equal treatment ...
