I have a double opt in form after people purchase my product and I got two opt ins this morning meaning I made two sales. But lo behold when I log into CB there are no sales for those 2 products.

But you say, "what if someone who already bought the product shared your link!" Highly possible, except one of the products had a new link that was just created and no one could have figure it out. Both links are also secure and haven't been indexed by Google.

I emailed Clickbank to see what's up. Anyone else experience this problem?

I've heard that Clickbank scrubs affiliate links, but the own vendor!? I would have never guessed. Or maybe I'm wrong. Anyone care to share their opinion?

You could email these people and tell them you are having some clickbank issues - can they please send you their receipt - and offer them something in return.

Then you will have proof to take to clickbank.

You could also use DLGuard - excellent product - and made by a warrior!

    Hope that helps

    • Have you setup your IPN (instant payment notification)?
    • Do you have the ability to look at your server logs to check unique visits to the download pages / logs of the product actually being downloaded?
    • Google Analytics can also tell you if the traffic was unique, and what geographical locations they were from as well as other info to check they were unique
    • Are you sure the download page ID couldn't be figured out? I have had my ego shattered in the past
    • Have you contacted these 2 new people on your email list to ask them?
I really doubt that there is any foul play here, investigate the following steps and there will be a solution there somewhere - if they have done this then this is illegal activity... Clickbank is a multi-million (billion?) dollar organization, they make enough money legitimately that they don't have to steal and hide 2 sales from one small vendor.

They might not be perfect but I am sure they are not doing anything illegal

DLGuard was what I was looking for. Merci! Yeah I'm going to wait for CB's reply and then email the two people.

I don't think scrubbing is illegal. Almost all CPA networks do it to protect themselves.

Its the advertisers that scrub, not the networks

Also they do this because of all the black hat marketers out there. So they are just leveling the playing field. As far as clickbank go they would not have this problem, so no need to scrub, although it would not even be clickbank scrubbing it will be vendors

Our opt in form is stored on a dynamic page that is only accessable once they purchase via Clickbank.

I'm yet to see a discrepancy.

  • Ever since the vendors stared to collect the users emails, the affiliates are making much less

Erm, vendors have always collected their customers e-mail addresses.

If they didn't, they were insane.
