Any Ideas On Monetizing? Still Not Sure

Ok so I launched a movie site about 2 months ago and I had aff links on there for a clickbank product but never sold anything. I was getting aroound 1,000 uniques a month so I decided to add adsense instead of CB. The past few weeks the site has really boomed and gained rankings.

It makes about $20 a day in adsense and it now gets a little over 10,000 uniques a month. My question is...does anyone have any ideas on the best way to monetize this site? Its a blog with a few posts about watching movies online (because it was targeting clickbank). In any case, any suggestions woule be greatly appreciated.

    Test various offers from clickbank, amazon, and CPA offers. We've had good success coding "movies" with DVD packages offered by amazon. We also code CPA offers like a free Netflix trial. Things like that. With your traffic you should be able to test rather quickly if it is converting or not.

      yes it has been an "all of a sudden" rush of traffic. the site landed on first page go0gle and first page yaho0 for a high searched keyword. I didnt even think about CPA offers like netflix or something, really appreciate it, thanks. Ill start trying some different offers. Im sure I can pull in more than $20 a day from something other than adsense with this site.

    Start collecting emails and opt people into music ring tones, ipod/ipad giveaway , free mp3 and music, and free films. Set up the auto-responders to give an initial list of free sites and coupons or information on how to get free tickets and then send them CPA offers and Amazon links in the emails.

    Adsense and CPA don't mix well I would leave the adsense in and just run the CPA in the emails as a bonus.

    Also I would branch out of clickbank products and try CPA offers for entertainment.

    With Auto responders you don't have to wait to have a massive list to start sending .

    If you are showing movies on the site then I would suggest you lock content with a cpa lead gateway. That should be a sure way to make some money with that kind of traffic.

    These other warriors have some good ideas but I wouldn't necessarily pull the plug on AdSense too quick. Sometimes testing AdSense can go a long way and you may find ways to make much more with it by moving it to prime areas of the site etc.

    I would first try tweaking the placement and color scheme of the Adsense ads to try and maximize revenue.

    I am assuming your blog is built on the Wordpress platform so this plugin may be useful: WordPress › Post Layout WordPress Plugins

    It allows you to place ads before, middle, or after the content.

    In the side bar and after the content you could try placing cpa banners for zip or e-mail submit CPA offers... free iphone/ipad offers.
