Where/How do you get mentorship?

Hey Warriors,

Probably, all of you have a mentor. He guides you, teaches you, motivates you - and what not.

But, how do you get a mentor?

Or, let me rephrase myself. On what criteria does a "guru" becomes your mentor?

Thanks
Karan

Make sure he knows what he is doing, what he is saying, and check whether his pockets are over-flowing with notes

A good successful mentor should be able to provide proof of his successes. For example my mentor had a ton of recommendations from the students he successfully coached over the last few years.

He should also be able to provide proof of how he can make you successful. Before signing up with my mentor I asked him if he could back up his proof of earnings which he did in fact do, live on video he demonstrated how much money he had made in his various clickbank accounts with the methods that he was prepared to teach me.

This kind of thing usually swings it for me!

Best of luck with your search!
    Steve.

I've had success by approaching people I know to be successful and offering them something of value in exchange for mentorship, such as offer to do some of the grunt work for free for them. Most of them appreciate this, and it has worked very well for me.

Good luck finding one! It can save you a lot of time!

When life gives you lemons, at least you don't get scurvy.

It depends what you want mentoring on. IF its "make me rich" then that's pretty general, if you are looking for tech help for setting up sites, building links etc, that's specific, if you want a mentor that will help with a specific product creation with you etc, that is specific as well.

Obviously the more general, the broader their skills and knowledge need to be, and the more it will cost in terms of money or time/involvement.
