Google search results depend on Geographical location where the content is created?

Hello Friends

I just wanted to know if the google search results depend on geographical location where the content is created. I mean content created in US has more significance than that created somewhere else?

Thanks

My understanding is that Google does look for geographical information. It's a good idea to put the business name, address, and contact info on your pages if its practical. I like to put it in the footer myself. Also to create a Google Business listing if that is practical.

In my experience google will usually give preference to pages that are closer geographically to the searcher. For example, being in Canada, I often find .ca domains at the top of the SERPS, where if you did the same search from the US, you likely wouldn't get those .ca results.
