Advice appreciated for affiliate marketing strategy.

So here's my circumstance. Might be a bit long-winded.

I started off in IM in November and started off terrible. Actually, I started off great, but with the wrong company that fell to pieces, and I lost my downline and some friends along with it.

Then I got into a new company but also started learning from a training program which was honestly fantastic and I learned a lot and began to put it into action.

Now in those first few months, I blew a few thousand on a bunch of junk, trying to buy my success which I now know was wrong, but it was all on credit, and then my credit line was cut leaving me with nothing.

I was hopeful I could get some money up with the techniques I learned recruiting, I started getting a few leads, but for some reason I didn't want to recruit them. I realized it was because in April I will be 100% unavailable for 3 weeks and I don't have the heart to bring someone into this and then leave them for that long.

So I decided today my best route is to change gears to affiliate marketing only. At the moment I have only enough money to feed myself for the month if that. I would be more than pleased if I could manage to earn only 2-3 hundred, but my real goal is to have something set up so that while I am away I can continue to earn, even if just a little.

So I ask what any of you may think is the best way to go. I already plan on writing boatloads of articles. And I can work 8-10 hours a day every day until April. So time is of no issue.

These are the tools I have at my disposal.

-Aweber
-GDI website with multiple page options
-2 gmail accounts (can make two blogs)
-Professionally made blog that hasn't been built yet from an old marketing package I wasted money on, but they can make the blog about anything I tell them and it comes with 1 entry made by them each day for a month.
-Squidoo (although I just joined and it seems confusing)
-Already have lots of affiliate programs from different arenas (although if anyone knows of some really good ones that don't cost anything to start I'm all ears....erm....I guess I mean eyes...we're on the computer)

I'm not sure if I should just write a few articles for each product and have the individual link, or maybe instead create a virtual "store" with the link to the store at the end of the articles, and of course I'm assuming I should also use the blogs from gmail and post my articles on those as well as the article sites.

And since this was so long maybe I should just start writing ebooks?

Kidding about that. Sorry about the length of my story. Anything that might help me in any way shape or form is greatly appreciated. I hope to one day myself be a big contributor in here, it's a good community.
