Spending Too Much Time Marketing My Business?

Spending Too Much Time Marketing My Business? Working on getting more and more traffic to my website, and blog and keeping my business growing. Girlfriends getting pissed because I am spending too much time online.

Whats a reasonable amount of time I should limit myself too on a daily basis to get my work done, and to keep my girlfriend off my back? Lol I need a win win situation.

How much time does everyone else spend online on a daily basis?

I spend almost all my time online every day. I mean, about 8-10 hours. And this is not because I have too much work, but because it`s what I love doing, and I never count the hours. Even when I take a day off, I can`t get off my computer.

Say your girl that you now have to spend a lot of time so you make more money. When you make more, you can outsource, and in some time, all you have to do is manage the people who work for you

Anyways, I think 8 hours is reasonable, both of you should be happy with that.

Yup, just depends on a lot on your desired lifestyle, goals, and where you stand currently.

I'd agree that as someone in the US where a full time job is considered 8 hours, 8-10 hours is pretty reasonable. Factoring in time spent driving to a typical job, and working a little over 8 hours still puts you in the reasonable category.

Ultimately, if you scale your business properly, you'll be working less and less.

I'm not sure how long you've been doing this.... but if your time is valuable to you, be sure to create a business where you can eventually leave it alone and it will run just fine without you.

You have to get your business to the point where it is running on auto-pilot for you. You can not spend too much time everyday on it.

Once you master PPC, your business should be running by itself.

Your only job is to make sure that your ads on your PPC campaigns are running and you are only making sure that there are funds there.

    Make sense?

Your goal is to have your business run on auto-pilot.

There is no such thing as "reasonable amount of time you should limit yourself to".

You should spend the amount of time it requires to get the results you are looking for.

If you can do that in 4 hours a day, then 4 hours a day it is.
If it takes you 12 hours a day, then 12 hours it is.

Your ultimate goal should be (in my opinion) to make sure that whatever time you are spending is the best possible use of that time.

Are you wasting time on a job that you could be paying someone else to do for less?

Are you still manually taking on tasks that can be automated or outsourced?

If your time is really worth $200 an hour to allow you to reach the goals you have set for yourself, are you still doing jobs that could be outsourced to someone for $10 an hour? If so, you're losing $190 an hour!

Instead of asking how much time to spend, examine HOW you are spending the time you do have. Eliminate, automate, or outsource the stuff that is wasting your time.

You'll be amazed at how much time you free up for yourself and your girlfriend.

A guy named A.L. Williams wrote a book. "All You Can Do Is All You Can Do, But All You Can Do Is Enough."

      Read it.

Your building a business. Your building a lifestyle, and hopefully
    your changing peoples lives.

That's huge. And if your partner can't see that and can't get
with that program, you need to sit down and have a heart to
heart talk with her and help her see why what your doing isn't
a "option" of "me" or "the business".

She'll either understand and help you build it (and do other
girlfriend stuff), or distance herself away. Ultimately, the choice
    is yours.

Let your girlfriend understand what your doing, once she does, make it to the point that you'll earn from your business and have it one day run on auto-pilot and then spend all the time with her after that.

You'll need to find a better balance between your business life and your personal life.

Think of it this way... why are you online in the first place? Surely you got away from the 9-5 ratrace because you wanted to spend more times doing things you like, including spending time with your girlfriend, yes?

But if you're spending all your time working, and not spending time with people you care about, it's kind of defeating the purpose, isn't it?

As people have already mentioned, most of the menial tasks can be outsourced. Outsourcing is key - everyone has the exact same 24 hours in a day, and if you're wondering how people who make six figures a week manage to accomplish so much in one day, well, here's a hint... many times they don't, they hire others to do it for them. Sure, they're spending more money, but they get higher returns as well.

You can always make more money, but you can't make more TIME.
