URGENT: Advice needed on raising $550 in 28 days with only $30 in bank!

Hi WarriorForumers!

I need help from anybody who can give good advice.

Ive been in the affiliate marketing game for about 3 full months now.
Im still new to this, But im learning as i go along.

My predicament is as follows-I NEED TO RAISE $550 BY THE END OF MARCH and at the moment ive only got about $30 to spend online.
(long story short its got to do with paying rent issues.)

My question is: is this really possible? If anybody has some tips or advice I would really be greatful for that.

My current marketing activites over the last 3 months have been as follows:

* I have domain space but im still busy with the website design (manually) before I upload it (im about halfway done with it). This website is actually supposed to be a review site, promoting "internet marketing" products using the 'Conduit Method' by (Chris Rempel)

*Ryt now though im focussing on promoting one internet marketing product using domain name forwarding.(its a $97 product with a commision of $44 per sale) So far iv put up a couple of classified ads on USFREEADS.com (no sales as yet)

*I also bought distribution credits on isnare.com for distributing articles for this product - im still learning how to write articles right now and havnt put up any articles to distribute as yet.

**An idea I had was to hire a freelance writer for $30 to write a couple articles for me then il distribute them via isnare.

**Il probably also write a couple articles and distribute them as well, with a link at the end sending them to the product im promoting.

But will this strategy make me the $550 i need by the end of the month?

Please help as any input right now would really be helpful.

I havnt made any money online as yet but im optimistic that my fortunes will soon change.

Again any help, advice or tips would really be great. Thank you so much in advance.

    Hi Geenius,

It is a fairly modest sum, which could easily be achieved by writing articles. It seems like you are a good writer, from your post.

At $5 for a 400 word article, you could write 110 articles to raise that amount of money. If you write fast it may take you just 30 hours work.

Advertise your services on Digital Point and do a WSO and Classified Ad here on Warrior Forums.

    Hope this helps.

You can buy an .info domain name, and choose a CPA offer to promote. I suggest insurance or something that does not cost to people.

So you forward your domain to your affiliate link. Then, you use Yahoo Answers and Yedda to let people know that they can get the product/service (for example, insurance quotes) at that site.

If you buy a good and memorable domain name, you don`t even need your links to be clickable (as they won`t be until you reach Level 2 on Yahoo Answers), people will still go to your site.

Make sure you put your link not more often than on every 3-4 answer. All the others need to have no links, just plain answers. And the link should be placed in the "source" boc, not in the answer itself.

      Good luck!

You must consider the time he has (end of March)... CPA programs send checks on monthly basis.. LOL.. He may receive his check at the end of april..

Writing is the only option if he can find clients fast..

I'd have to agree, its not that it can't be done, its just you don't have room for trial and error, to learn, to risk basically.

I would suggest you sit down and find a j-o-b, I know its not what you wanna hear, but for now its your "best (safest) bet" but in the mean time, use your time searching through these forums and finding free ways to make money online.

Here's some of my suggestions for making money on/offline. Some are quick some take time. Tweak as you like and do what works for you (some do to initial investment won't be for you, but maybe in the future...).

Make wholesale list and sell them on ebay. Find popular items and use alibaba to find where you can get them for wholesale. Be sure to contact each supplier yourself to see if they're legit. Check out their website to sniff out poor attempts to scam.

Flip cars. Its not so much selling, but buying at a good price. Do your research and use kelly blue book to find the value. Find motivated sellers. Get the best price you can. Toyota and Honda makes do very well.

Here's a section I took out a guide I wrote and was giving away free last year. How me and some college buddies make quick cash.

      1. Detailing Cars

      2. Jittney Cab. For a small donation we would take others from point A to point B.

      3. Airbrush Tattoos. This works great at parties, festivals, and flea markets.

      4. Wholesale club. We got together 20 others who were interest in buying 32" flat screens below retail. We found a supplier who would sell us them for $375 if we were to purchase a certain amount. We were usually able to even profit, charging a small fee for members to join our club.

      5. Mobile Oil Changer. A local mechanic and classmate of mines would close his shop and hit the parking garage downtown and change the oil of about 15 cars. At $15 bucks each, he'd spend a few hours in exchange for over $200. He did it three times a week in addition to
      fixing cars at his shop.

      6. Teach a class. A classmate came in with some incredible artwork on his sneakers. We wanted him to do some on ours. One peer asked if he could teach him how to do it, because he figured he'd save more money if he had multiple shoes he wanted designed. My classmate would demand a minimum of five students per class and charge $50 a head. The
class lasted 90 minutes. He even made a cheat sheet for all his students and gave them access to his e-mail and phone number. He held classes every other Saturday and his enrollment continued to grow.

      7. Tutor. If you're good in a particular subject, parents will fall to their knees for you to help their sons and daughter to succeed (think about it, they get good grades and leave the nest).

      8. Concession cart. I've sold can sodas, water, and chips a 100% return. I had a cooler and a book bag. I'd walk around the park on a hot Atlanta day and cash in.

      9. Install Operating Systems. You'd be surprised how easy this could be. Have your client buy their operating system and charge like $20 for you to install. It'll take about 45 minutes. To learn how to do it (again it's super easy, the computer tells you what to do and when to do it) visit a local computer tech. Ask him questions and offer to bring in your own
computer for an upgrade for his time.

      10. Make a movie. I study film at Georgia State. I love to make home videos for others. I usually charge a flat fee. I shoot and edit and give my client the final product. Easy money and I enjoy doing it. Plus I build my reel up for future clients to see.

      11. Make life easy for someone else. People will pay for their life to be just a little more easy. If you can figure out how to do that you'll be good as paid.

$ 550 is not a very large sum, and you should be able to get that amount by the end of march easily.
Try Startup Blog Flipping, since the market is picking up.

Pick a niche, o some KW research, choose a keyword, edit an exisiting theme to make it your own, or better, make your own theme, put up 10 articles, some nice images and then flip it on flippa.com

It's a 4 day effort at the most, and you should be able to make about $ 200 - 250 from each blog that you flip.

Article writing will give you $550 easily.

Other options such as Affiliate marketing, CPA marketing and Ebook publishing are risky as compared to Article writing.

If you want, I can give you free copy of my ebook 'Article Writing Uncut'.

I agree this is your best bet. You can use your $30 and buy some
huge PLR article packs at tradebit.com and rewrite them and submit
them to Associated Content. The best part of this plan is you get
paid directly by paypal quickly. So no waiting a month to get your
      money like most other methods.

      to your success,

You can raise more than that amount in 28 days through site flipping. However, you have to be ready to :

    1. Get serious

    2. Write articles and use some other traffic generation methods.

    You need

    1. A domain name and webhost

    2. You need to be able to do simple keyword researches

    3. You need to know how to select a good and high converting clickbank product.

Not as simple as I have put it here but I am very sure ( 99.99% sure ) that you can make that amount flipping semi-established sites.

will this strategy make me the $550 i need by the end of the month?
      What strategy?

      After three months of effort:

You have a site half built.
You have placed "a couple" free ads.
      You have written NO articles.
Everything you mention doing is "a couple of" - and that's not good enough.
You "may" hire someone to write a couple articles
You may write a couple articles yourself.

Your strategy seems to be do a little here and a little there - and after three months YOU can see it's not enough. You are promoting make money products and you don't know how to make money online - there is a lot of competition in the niche and you aren't competitive.

I havnt made any money online as yet but im optimistic that my fortunes will soon change.
What is the optimism based on? Money doesn't magically flow to you because you "need" it. It takes much more than "a couple things" here and there.

If you can't complete a website, get hosting and launch a blog. You can do that in one day and have a site online.

Can you make $550 a month? Sure you can if you actually work at it. Can you do it in 4 weeks? I doubt it.

You haven't built one site - so selling sites would be a bit of a stretch. You haven't written one article - so selling writing would seem out of the question, too.

I don't understand the suggestions to "sell writing" or "sell services" - when they are made to someone who has not written an article and has not provided the basic services for his own business.

I'd suggest you first locate a job to pay the rent in a month - and then get serious about working online. So far, you are only dabbling in it and that's not enough.

I'm gonna side with Brad on this one. You need some "regular" income right now. Then you need to focus a bit. For example, it should not take you more than a day to get your website up. In the time it took you to write that post, you could have written an article. I would honestly suggest getting a regular job, paying your rent and then taking some cash and either investing in a decent step-by-step system or getting a short-term coach to put you on the IM straight and narrow.

Yeah - based on your post I would say it does not appear to me that you have all of the skills you need right now to achieve the $550 through IM in a short time fram.

You have a start, that is the main thing. Get the immediate pressure of the rent off of your back then you can get busy building your business.

Step 1- Develop a realistic plan - you can find free step-by-step instructions in the free products and posts here on this site. You need to be more focused and have a plan of attack.

Step 2 - If you have the skills as Yommy suggests flip a site or 2 - should yield you a couple of hundred.

Continue to build your knowledge of IM - be an active member of this and other forums. There is a lot of work in the beginning and things are always changing so you have to be fast.

      Good Luck

You try copywriting as it won't need any investment on your part. As for advertising 30$ is too low. But that doesn't mean you make that amount of money. If you are good with seo then I guess it will be quite easy for you to raise money.
On Internet several rules changes "you can make money without investing". I too started with zero dollar. And your goal is quite practical. I don't think it will be difficult to raise that much amount of money.

    Hi Geenius

If you are looking to have the actual cash by the end of the month, not likely to happen. You can earn it by the end of the month, but you will only receive it next month.

eg: clickbank - If you earn the $550 during this pay period, it will be released by the end of the next pay period. You should receive the check by the end of next month. The amount I earned for the period ending 17 Feb 2010 was released at the end of the next pay period (02 March 2010). This check is posted today (hopefully) and I should receive it in 2 - 3 weeks.

eg: adsense - Feb amount will be processed this week. The check will ony be posted just before the end of the month. I should receive it within the 2nd or 3rd week of April.

As I said you can earn it, but not likely to receive it before the end of this month.

You might want to try creating websites for local companies and get them to pay you cash or get a job

Stop "learning" and just write the articles already. You can write this post which has 340 words - more than enough length for an article but you have no articles submitted?

No. You may as well go blow your 30 bucks on lottery tickets. You'll have a better chance.

I agree that you need to either get a job, or figure out a service you can sell to raise your cash.

Even if you did make sales, there is no guarantee you are going to see your payments cleared by the date you need them.

While i would like to suggest creating a product or doing something internet based.

If your in that much dire need I would look around your house and find items you can sell off on kijiji or craigslist. You will probably find that is the quickest way to get some dough if your in a bind.

The internet business is not a flash in the pan, magical genie.

While its doable to make that by the end of the month, heck even by tommorow. Unless you have something in place which is working, chances are your better of being realistic and finding something you have and selling it.

I have to agree with Kay Here.

Unfortunately a lot of the "advice" being offered here is of very little use to you.

The majority of answers you have received are people telling you how THEY would raise money in this situation. However, we have absolutely no idea what skills you have.

Telling someone to "write articles" or "flip websites" to make money is pretty useless if you don't already possess the skills to do this. From what i can gather, after 3 months you have achieved about a day or two days work maximum. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it is a reality.

An article writer would probably have written 300-1000 articles in that time-frame. An experienced website flipper would have sold perhaps 3-20 websites in that time. A Blogger would have written 100-500 blog posts in that time and the list goes on!

Unfortunately you are not going to get the answers you want to hear in this thread. To make that amount of money online, no matter how "small an amount" other people tell you it is, will require a lot of hard work if you're just starting out.

You are still on a learning curve, so you will definitely have to find another to make your rent money. Ask for a loan, get a job, do odd-jobs for people in your neighbourhood, sell stuff you own or work out (quickly) what specialized skill you have and how you can monetize it!

And please for the love of god Why would someone who has NEVER made any money online, sell products about how to make money online?

      Cheers

Look for 'day labor' in or around your city. Also, look in the paper in the classifieds and you will see jobs that have a high turnover rate. These are ads that are always in there because people quit after a week.

Think of the jobs that others don't want to do and if you are willing to do them you can pay your bills.

Wash dishes, cars, janitorial work, yard work, load and unload trucks...

Anything that requires labor usually needs people. Anything like telemarketing, sign waving...that others won't do gives you an opportunity to keep your lights on.

Walk into your neighborhood "mom and pop" stores and ask if there is anything you can do for them like wash their windows...

Get off the Internet and start hustling up work.

p.s. Everyone wants in on a marketing "secret" well here it is, 90% of the stuff you hear from knuckleheads on a forum is Bu**Sh*t.

Getting a job is good advice, but for everyone who just says "get a job" and thinks it's that simple, it's not. Unemployment is high. It's not easy. It's not likely he will be able to both find a job and make the amount he needs in 1 month. I know someone who has been looking for months for a job with no success and another person who found a job but it took several months of trying.

Put in applications everyday and read the thread "What to do if you're desperate."

If you have anything you can sell, post on craigslist. If you are good at a skill, sell your services or bid on projects at freelance sites such as Elance. With the extra time, write articles to promote affiliate products. I agree that someone not making money should not promote an MMO product.

Read the post by Michael Worthington, it talks about signing up for affiliates that pay instantly to a Paypal acct, and using methods like 2 buck ads to advertise. I cannot due it justice here, but read and implement his suggestions.

My question is: is this really possible? If anybody has some tips or advice I would really be greatful for that.
    That's about $20 per day.

This reply is coming from hard personal experience. You need to do two things:

    1) Get a job if you don't have one. That means do whatever you have to do. ANY job. Mow yards, rake leaves, pick up trash, clean gutters. deliver pizzas, flip hamburgers ... WHATEVER you need to do.

My bet is that you can reach your immediate goal by doing that.

    2) Keep working on building your internet marketing business so that you can get to a place that you never have to ask a question like this again.

It's not a magic button. The reality is that there IS no magic button.

    Bottom line: work hard.

    Work hard at your job.
Work hard at replacing your job.
When you build your business to a certain level, fire your boss.

I remember firing no less than 3 bosses. It was wonderful!

Roll up your sleeves, commit to creating your success, and "get er done".

Not a chance to get that amount of money by the end of march using (or trying to use) affiliate tactics, CPA, Adsense, if you make a sale today, you will recieve the money next month, period!

Probably you should try selling your stuffs on ebay, but its unlikely that in less than four weeks you make that kind of money, specially if didn't happened during the last three months.

Try to find an offline job, pay your rent, then focus on your online career when you really want to put an effort on it

I completely agree with everything that Kay has said here. When someone comes in here with one of these "I need $X in Y time period" posts there are always a bunch of people that suggest article writing or building backlinks or web design or some other online service.

I usually think that these are good ideas but when the person has either said or demonstrated that they have none of those skills yet using these non-existent skills is not an option for short term income.

        Thanks for this post!

I don't understand why people automatically suggest that someone in this situation should consider article writing, unless the OP states they have experience in writing, they are a good writer and that they have a passion for writing.

All this serves to do is to decrease the percieved value of the services provided by those writers who are good at what they do. Writers who choose to write not because they need to raise cash in x amount of days, but because we have a passion for our work which ensures our work is always of the highest quality.

You wouldn't just jump into copywriting would you? So by the same token why should you just jump into any other kind of writing?

I do think it's time people started to realise just how valuable a well written article can be for their business. It's what gains you respect and authority in the eyes of your customer.

If you have a bit more time to wait for the $ but need to know it is coming, try essay writing. It pays more! Just google essay writing. or check out freelancer sites for article writing. You can also apply to several sites online to write for them but then you have to wait to be approved. Good luck!

If you are looking to raise that amount in 28 days and you are not currently profiting from your business then I highly suggest that you offer services.

I have been actively offering services for about 4 days now and so far I have gained about 5 clients. One needs stuff for the end of the month. One is a quick job paying me $100 - $150. Another is a possible $500 within the next 3 days.

If you are willing to do some hard work to make that money then I really suggest you look at your strengths, figure out what you are willing to do, and then spend $20 on a Warrior Special Services Ad.

Write a well written post that focuses on a few services (or just one..whatever you think works best for you) and wait to hear from some interested people.

Once you get some prospects you want to make sure that you communicate with them in a professional manner. If you don't have samples ready offer to prepare one of their things free of charge as a sample.

After you close the deal, work hard to get it done quickly and deliver quickly.

When you gain clients they are looking for a few things

    - Quality (most important)
    - Speed (important)
    - Price (important)

If you can deliver those three things for them then you will have many repeat clients and you will quickly build your portfolio and the amount of cash you have.

I hope this helps and I hope you make the rent.

    Good Luck

    Gregg

    Hey Geenius,
Listen, if you need $550 by the end of march this is what you do.
    1) pick a niche that is hot right now like weight loss or electronic cigarettes etc.
    2) right 10 articles about 350-500 words each.
    3) create a WSO PLR article with the 10 articles and sell it for like $9/pack.
    4) make sure you have an autoresponder to create a buyer list.
    5) from the money made you can bump your WSO for more exposure.

Do this like twice or so and you should have $550.
    cheers!

A couple of others have said this already: why do people always say "do article writing" when someone needs money but has done almost nothing to prove that they have any interest in/talent for it?

If you need $550 in the next 27 days, you should do what everybody else has said: find something that will pay you offline: dog walking, washing cars, etc. Or sell some stuff on e-bay/craigslist. The reason internet marketing looks so easy is because people work hard to make it look easy. It actually takes a lot of work.

It's kind of like how women spend hours on their hair, clothes and makeup...just to make it look like they haven't spent any time on their hair, clothes or makeup (and I can say that because I do it too)

I'd bet that if you put up a few ads on Craigslist and at your local free bulletin boards (like you see at the super market) for dog walking you'd probably get at least close to your $550. Think about it: charge $10 per dog per walk. You only need to walk 3 dogs a day for the rest of the month and you'll have more than your $550. Heck, I bet if you offered to give the dogs a bath for an extra $10, you'd make next month's $550 too!

    Good luck!

I'd suggest spending $20 on an ad here in the Warrior Forum. Write a stack of articles for Warriors. They usually pay up front or very close to completion, so $550 is easy enough to do in a day or two constant work - if you're quick

Why would this be a good idea for someone who said in their original post "im still learning how to write articles right now and havn't put up any articles to distribute as yet" ???

And, do you really think $550 is "easy enough to do in a day or two" by writing "a stack of articles"? Someone that is still learning how to write articles won't come anywhere near your $275 - $550 per day estimate.

My first advice is to not spend your last $30 on a couple of articles from a freelancer. Start busting your hump and writing some articles yourself around CPA offers. Site flipping is another alternative as people have mentioned but if its taking your that long to get your own site together, it may not be a good idea. Hmmm... seems the best advice is to get a job. I know that no one here wants to hear that but its the truth. If your well being depends on making $550 in a month then go for something thats for sure.
