GSniper is a tough one to figure out for me

Hey warriors from past three months i have been trying to make g sniper work for me. I have got 3 sites sandboxed ie not appearing anywhere till now but one month back i made a site and it did appear on 2nd page for a keyword without any backlinking just because keyword is too easy to rank for.

The no.1 competitor has just 20 backlinks pointing and also no competitor has exact phrase in title and url too some are even not directly relevant, by the time i have made sixty profile backlinks pointing to the site with 1 articles and 1 .edu link pointing to it but the site is not moving from 2nd page I just cant figure it out. BTW the site has six posts and has actually more content then sites ranking for the keyword. Can anybody suggest is there something i m missing out.

    One word: Wait.

Stop the backlink building for some time and just wait for Google to discover your site and push it up.

One of my sites ranked at #98 until I stopped working on it for two months. Now yesterday, miraculously, it reached #14

so doesnt that mean that if we want to start generating money fast we should use web 2.0 properties since they have a reputation when compared to a new site.

      Hey Anoopchawla,

The key is patience, I would pick 5-10 keywords/domains that you want to use for your sniper site, and set them all up over the course of a week.

Then you will see the difference in how they rank.

Some will go up in 2 days... the other may go up in 2 weeks.

For example ... I literally just checked this site at 2:25pm eastern time today...I forgot about it till I caught a glimpse of this post.

As you will see i created the 1 post on November 28th and i remember checking it and checking it... it ranked right away, but i was 30+ in google... page 3. I left it, literally until today to check.

      http://www.mobilewebsitehosting.com/

      and its on page one

      ranked 6

you can match the picture and see that it is mine....and thats with 1 post only.

Don't put your time into the one sniper site and wait for results... buy more domains and keep putting up new sites. After a month of work on other sites... you may remeber to check an old one and see that it's doing better now...then start monetizing to generate an income.

I can't find my GSniper site in the top 1000 results for the keyword anywhere.

The top sites for the keyword are subdomains on sites that aren't even that relevant and have page ranks of 3 or lower.

I followed GSniper to the "T" and even put Angela's backlink pack on it.

Hi Dave, the main issue is probably backlinking too fast. I remember creating a site for "Jessica Handbags" and it ranked on #3 on the first page day 1. then I backlinked like crazy and then my site literally went to like 156 or so where it's sitting at. I beleive for new sites its better to wait at least a week before backlinking

Ya Don't worry about backlinks.... remember you should be able to rank 1-2 page without any.

I still have not yet worked on backlinks for any of my sniper sites.

Get a some sites up and going, like I said try 10, after all 10 are setup, go back to the first.,

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I waited 3 months for it to get "picked up" before I back linked.

I really don't know why I'm not ranking..

Richard Odell - Correction - Google is intelligent enough to know what GoogleSniper is all about and is ignoring the attempt to buck the system.
Don't agree with this. Tells you in the sniper guide that some sites may get sand boxed.

Not sure backlinking is the problem either but I would agree that it should not be necessary to backlink to begin with so just don't do it (at least not right away) and you eliminate it as a possible issue.

Admittedly I have only been doing this for about a month or so but my 2 sites are doing ok so far. I should say that i have been studying online marketing for last year so i didn't just decide to do this yesterday. this is just my first attempt at actually doing something.

Both sites are in markets that are much more competitive than the guide calls for, but I wanted to really test the system and one of them is a niche I know a lot about, so at this point i am happy with where they are.

My first site is ranked at #13 for my root keyword on Google after debuting in the 170's. I am #1 on Yahoo. Actually I rule yahoo if you count my LSI keyword rankings. I do pretty good on Google for a few of my LSI keywords too, ranking btwn 4 - 6.

1st post Feb. 11 last post Feb. 16. And I did back link to this site almost immediately probably about 50 - 60, though Google only lists 17 rt now. I also went and wrote articles at Squidoo and Hubpages, both of which rank in the 4 - 6 range. For some of my LSI words I have 4 -5 spots on the first page of serps because my site and both articles will show up and i dominate the page!

So is back linking the problem? It does not appear to have hurt me, but can't say 100% for sure.

My 2nd site is just 13 days old today, debuted on google at position 54 for my root keyword, Again a very competitive market, way above what is recommended. No back linking has been done other than a little of the social stuff George tells you to do.

Google is a strange animal that no one will ever completely figure out you take the knowledge you have, do the best you can and hope for the best from google...all you can do. Some irregularities will never be explained. (IMHO)

Just a thought, maybe you wouold have been better spending your $$$ on TOOLS rather than "systems".

Wordpress is the FREE tool, and the system is great, it's not rocket science.... just wordpress targeting one term.... I bought the course and didn't even need it.... gave me a couple good pointers though. And this system works great... you can use it to drive traffic to main sites.

What good are tools if you don't know how to use them? You can have all the data in the world on your market sitting in right front of you, gathered by dozens of software programs. If you don't have some sort of idea/plan/"system" on how to interpret and use the data it is useless. Right?

I have found using this system to be lukewarm at best.

I set up about 10 sniper sites and only 2-3 of them earn anything.

Mind you some were bad keyword choices but others looked great and had exactly the right things needed to rank but have never seen the light of day buried in page 10 or so after waiting and backlinking.

It just feels very random to me.
