Would love to hear from anyone who has found financial success with marketing PLR products...

The classic story I see referenced all the time is Rhonda Byrne's "The Secret"...and how she adapted that from an old book "The Science of Getting Rich"...

Are there good guides/ebooks out there that provide a process to creating a product from scratch...to marketing via JV...to financial success?

As always, any and all enlightment is greatly appreciated!

      PLR is 'leverage.'

      It:
Gives you a good outline for a product that you can 'flesh out.' Embedding videos and audios in it, combined with changing the graphics can get a product 'in the can' in record time.

Can be used to make videos and audios for mass distribution for traffic generation.

Can be packaged for upsells, downsells, sidesells and giveway offers to build your list.

There are so many use to use PLR, that when you learn to use them as leverage, you begin to really see your business take off.

        I agree with DanielleS...

The key to USING PLR is to *think outside the box* <cringe at cliche>

PLR can be powerful if you take a fresh look at it.

Here are two approaches about using PLR that I recently posted here at WF.

PLR can be used for products or it can be used in many other ways... the key is to keep an open mind about HOW you can use it to benefit you the most... and that brings us right back to...

Depending on the quality of the PLR material you purchase will depend on how much time and to what extent you may want to rewrite/redesign/recode, whatever...the PLR material.

Also if your looking at putting packages together then look at the quality of graphics, writing, and structure.

There are many ways you can use PLR to become successful.

You can use PLR to purchase then resell straight away
    - rewrite the purchased PLR then sell
    - rewrite then giveaway (depending on rights)
    - repackage then sell (just changing graphics around)

Then you can give it away in exchange for email addresses, details...

Blah sorry my mind is jumping from one to another, basically there are many ways of becoming successful with PLR and choosing the most high quality PLR will obviously cut down your production time.

  • I got challenged back in 2004 to use PLR to see if I could start on a Friday morning and make $10,000.00 by the next Monday without using my own list.

    I didn't make it--I only made a little over $8,000.00 that weekend.

In my case there were two keys to making it happen:

First, I created a unique and compelling sales process.

Second, I contacted people in the target market and asked for their help.

The book in my signature (it's free) shows exactly how it can be done. If you want to pick it up it should help you see how to use reprint rights and PLR to make fairly quick cash. Unless you are pretty established it will take you longer than a weekend, but it does work and thousands of people have proved it.

  • If you are not interested in creating or adding material to the PLR you are leaving money on the table. Especially for a product that people are looking for.

I suggest adding additional value to the PLR products. Add auto responders on the topic or even a course if the market calls for it. Most PLR products are in the forum of ebooks. Add an audio or video series to the product.

The more value you can add to the PLR product the better.

Now if you are not interested in adding additional value you can still make money. The only thing here is you are going to work 2-3 times harder since there is no doubt already a slue of other people out there selling the same product. The only logical escape is to create an original product and have those people advertise and sell for you as affiliates.

Joe Vitale created an ebook about "Make your own Ebook in 7 days". It even has steps on how to profit off of it and promote it once its made.

Create a unique sales page for it, unique graphics and change it. Package it with videos.

In what capacity are you referring? Selling PLR as a business or using it to market your own business?

If you are using it for the latter, you can gain a lot of mileage by using it in ebooks, auto responders, mini courses, turning it into videos and audios, using it as a bonus to something else you are selling, etc. This you can do with little to no modification.

If you plan to use it on article directories or to get backlinks, you will have to put more energy into making it unique.

It is advisable, however, to add your own flair to the material. You never know when someone hasn't already received the product from someone else. This is simple to do. Modify the cover graphic, add your own introduction and conclusion, and even build on it by adding more actual information.

A lot of good PLR is ideal for this because it gives you the groundwork. All you have to do is continue the theme and build a bigger and better product that you can call your own.

Look for PLR that is not sold with resale rights. In other words, you don't want buyers to be able to resell the PLR or MRR license. That's how PLR saturates the marketplace. Also, try to get PLR that has limited distribution, ie: is only sold to a set number of people, rather than PLR that continues to be sold until it sells out.
