3 easy ideas to generate money 'today'.

Hi,

Just reading some of the posts, saw a few 'I need money 'now' posts', so thought I would post some ideas.

3 easy (online) methods:

1. Create an account at an outsourcing site (i.e., rentacoder, elance, etc), and do something like writing. You bid on projects, and get accepted. If you write well, you can probably find a job within a day.

2. Flip a domain. While it does require a certain amount of expertise, if you aren't greedy about how much money you get, you could probably make $25-$50 easily from flipping a good quality domain. Of course it requires an initial investment (domain registering, webhosting, which max is about $20), but you can see a profit on it of about $25-$50. If you have web design skills already, it is something you can you can do easily, and likely find a buyer for within a day. Popular site: flippa.com.

3. Offer a service to say someone here or another site if you wish, at a 'dirt' cheap price. Of course, that is a $20 investment as well (at least here it is), but providing you are good, can easily recoup that cost. Make it inexpensive so people don't worry about the 'risk' they are taking on you (if someone buys a product/service to you, they want to make sure they are getting value for their hard-earned dollars). Suggestion: look at whats in demand. Article writing, link building, videos, and submission (any kind of directories/services). Offer your time to do these activities, and make sure you do it well (it will make it easier getting future customers).

Anyways, three ideas that you can act upon immediately to see results today. It's not necessarily a long term business strategy, but if you need something now, this can help get you started.

Good luck!

Very good ideas for people new to internet marketing and want to see some return for their efforts. If you are good at writing you could actually just make that a full time business.

Good ideas but I would caution that domain flipping is not as easy to do as some think it is.

I agree. True domain (not website) flipping requires the acquisition of good, quality domain names, which aren't easy to come by. A domain name is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and considering anyone can just make one up and buy it themselves for $10 or less makes it that much more difficult.

I just saw someone advertising domains (without sites) in the "Websites for sale" section and they were asking six figures for very random two and three word domains .. LOL.

How much would a good quality PR2 rank site go for these days? How about a site which is listed on DMOZ?

Yeah, domaining really is a whole nother world. 2-3 letter domains can sometimes pull in quite a chunk of change. An LL.com, CV.com LLL.com, CVCV.com or a gooddictionaryword.com are what usually bring the highest bids. As random as they may seem, the 2-3 letter domains are usually an acronym or abbreviation for someone's business or such, which is why people are willing to spend more on them.

@Hanz depends on the domain name, I think

I'd say outsourcing is a great way to start making money online... but it's hard to do for long periods of time (unless you really love it) even then, your trading time for money like a normal day job

Check out a website like rentacoder.com/elance.com/guru.com, etc. There, you can bid on projects (writing), and providing you are good, increase the likelihood that you can get more projects in the future.

Good ideas! I put two into play already but didn't do the cheap part. I may consider it though by offering a discount to get it going.

I say flipping a domain is the best... Competition in freelance sites is really tough especially if you are dealing with Indians who charges superlow.. hard to beat them..

These are good suggestions. I'll also add, though, that it won't be enough to just simply start up and running after reading this post alone, particularly with the site flipping.

Take whichever one of the ideas grabs you, and use the Search function to get more elaborate answers to any questions you have or will come up (i.e. site flipping tips, etc.)
