Question About BlogTalk Radio

Hi Warriors,

Ok, I have a few questions about BTR. Specifically:

1. Can I download the shows in MP3 format to my computer?
2. Can I post a specific show to my website with a player so that people can play the show right at my site?
3. Can I distribute the show as a podcast through iTunes and other podcast directories?

If I can do all of this at no charge, I see no reason to use a service like Audio Acrobat. I'd like to have audio on my site, but I'm primarily looking to produce a podcast and need to get listeners. I think I can do that pretty simply through Audio Acrobat, but if I can do it for free through a basic BTR show, I'd prefer to do that.

Thanks for your help!

Sincerely,
Michelle

Yes to all three. As a matter of fact, I think BlogTalk has an iTune button on your show.

One question they never answered for me though, was who actually owns the rights to the show.

After looking through all of their information and not finding my answer, I sent an email with the question and never had it addressed. Just sent to the FAQ.

So if one wanted to put the "show" on cds or want to package them, who would own the content?

Good question! I will have to double-check that, but when I researched BTR before, it was my understanding that the show creator/host owned the content.

I'm going to dig around on BTR for the answer...

Vegas Vince and Willie Crawford both use BTR. Maybe send a PM to them to get the insider scoop and more juicy tidbits Just a thought....
