What About Mobile Marketing? Is it real or hype?

I'm asking all the experienced Warriors if you feel Mobile Marketing is real or hype?

If you know about Mobil Marketing and if it works - then please share the big secrets with everyone.

I hear Mobil Marketing gets a 97% open rate compared to only 10% open rate with email marketing.

I'm hoping for a big discusion on this new trend in marketing.

    I'm also interested... there will always be email + a lot of smart phones all you to access gmail and othe major email providers

    I've used it for my marketing activities in Nigeria and it worked big time making me lots of sales. I also believe it's more effective than email marketing, though i can't speak for IM internationally. But if it worked for me in Nigeria, it will work any where else.

      What do you mean by "mobile marketing"? That can mean many things on a phone. Checking email on a phone? Website advertising on a phone? Applications?
