I need help(surprise!)! My blog has disappeared after installing and

Hey guys, I need some help. Something weird happened to my blog tonight. Now I dont know if its related to what I was doing or not.

Tonight, I Found a new theme that I liked (flexibility 2 theme), and decided to install and activate it on my blog. I installed it, activate it and took a look to see how it was. I didn't really like it live, so I went back to reinstall the original one, which I did.

But now no page of my blog shows up. I cant even sign in to my dashboard. Basically when you put my URL in, it shows its loaded(on the bottom of the browser says "done", but the page is empty!
It doesn't give any errors or anything. Just a white page!

I dont know if it has anything to do with the flexibility 2 theme or ...Since I cant go to my dashboard, I went to my c panel and deleted the theme, but nothing happens.
Anybody has any idea whats happening? I would appreciate any help.

By the way I have done this installing and reinstalling hundreds of times, and never had any problem with it.

    Do you have a backup of the database?

    If you do, then I personally would uninstall WP, reinstall and import the database. Sometimes you need to use ftp software (or cpanel) to remove all traces of WP before you can reinstall.

    If you don't have a backup of the database - make a mental note to do that in the future!

    Have you tried removing any plug-ins?

    Can't think of what else to suggest.

    I always keep a backup of the database and screenshots of the appearance - then if WP breaks for any reason I can reinstall and recreate.

      WHY? Why are so many otherwise intelligent people promoting this nonsense? If you have a little pain in your finger... amputating the whole arm isn't the ideal solution

      There are many reasons why a blog could go blank. Theme related: activating a theme with defect/wrong code; deleting the active theme etc.

      To the OP: All I can see now is an empty (new) blog using the Techstop theme.

    Thanks for the help rosetrees. I did use a plug in for back up a while ago, but I dont exactly know how it works, and what I need to do. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    I`ve had a similar thing happen a few months ago. I contacted my hosting company, and they said that happens sometimes, so they offered me to reinstall the WP, and it worked fine. I hope you do have your database backup

    Thank you all for trying to help. Unfortunately, when I was testing things out (uninstalling and installing wp) on a sub-domain, I accidentally uninstalled the wp from the main blog. So everything is lost.
    Istvan, The Techstop theme that you see now is from the new installation.

    I opened a new thread here on WF to get help, which a warrior suggested contacting my hosting company. So I have contacted hostmonster to see if they can restore it for me, and now waiting for a response.
