Media Traffic & PPV - What Do You Think??

Lately, media traffic and PPV seems to be the hottest thing..

Now, I believe this type of traffic has a potential, and I am going to try it on a massive scale to test results, however, I have some concerns I wish to discuss with those who have experience with this type of promotion..

Now, we all know that PPV networks depend on installing some sort of adware on the prospects computers (e.g. Media Traffic uses some software called Vompa that offers screensavers and similar stuff)...

And we also know that adware has been always an annoying media for prospects...

The claim these networks use to defend their adware is that the user already AGREED upon installing the software to get the ads..

And I think this is lame..

It's known that most of those who install such software are not aware of the truth that they are installing adware, and they don't read the fine print on which they are supposed to agree, and once they realize the fact, they start looking for help to remove this adware..

Even worse, internet security programs (e.g. Kaspersky) are very tough towards such type of software, and usually, give a hell of warning messages until the user is scared enough and avoid installing it...

Now, these are my own thoughts, I didn't use this type of traffic before, maybe I am wrong..

I hope that warriors with a level of experience with this type of traffic could share their thoughts, and if they had any level of success with PPV

(Warning: Those who promote PPV WSO's and will try to post here to push their offers are absolutely not welcome, kindly, only useful thoughts and insights required)

Thanks

A Bary

Barry, you've got to understand that this is adware people say "yes" to. It's not spyware. It's not something they get tricked into downloading. It's a deal where people want a cool screensaver or free game, so they download.

My experience with it has been that it's much better for broad offers (weight loss, work from home, etc) than niche marketing. But I might not have scraped enough URLs.

      Appreciate your input..

However, I doubt that people who download the software are fully aware of the ad thing.. most of them are not savvy computer and internet users and may not pay full attention to what they agreed for...

That's my point, maybe I am wrong, but I hope someone proof that these concerns are wrong...
