Split Testing For Landing pages

Hey Warriors,

I ain't much of an Internet Marketer, my core business focus is in the financial trading sector.

Thing is, I've recently created a product, complete with video tutorials that I'd like to launch for sale on Clickbank sometime soon.

Problem is,I've heard a wee bit about list building, split testing etc and so I'd like to learn more on how this actually works.

I've got 4 opt-in landing pages, all of a different design and layout.
What I wanna do, is to be able to load all 4 onto my server at a go, and use some special script or software to rotate them evenly, and after a specified time period, I should be able to find out which type of opt-in landing page converts best.

Is that the correct way to go about split testing? Any service or software to recommend that will allow me to test and rotate 4 landing pages at one go?

Also, once I've determined which layout works best, what do i do from there assuming I wanted to tweak the winning layout for better results?

Regards
Mark Richards

    Mark,

fellow Warrior Paul Hancox not only offers a very handy split testing software called Power Split Tester, but also a couple of excellent ebooks on the subject.

The ebooks are more than worth the read. And Power Split Tester is easy to use, does exactly what it's supposed to do, and doesn't cost too much.

The link is http://www.powersplittester.com or just contact Paul directly about the ebooks -- can't recall the URLs right now.

    Hope that helps,

    Regine

Paul wrote Small Changes, Big Profits and the 10% Solution. Both are quite good although I personally liked the first one better. Here's a link to the former one (non-affiliate): Small Changes: Big Profits (2008 Edition)

My multi-variate testing script Easy Multi Tracking also does page rotation testing.

      Hope that helps,

      Mike

  • You can always use Google Website Optimizer. It's pretty simple to set up and it works pretty fine... and it's free
