I'll be posting similar joy shortly as I have just broken out of the
"doing everything for everyone else" syndrome and am not
renewing with certain clients. iIt would take all my time
and I found my self educating as to the why and how it works and
what I need from you Mr or Ms client so my break through

Hey congrats!!!!
I too am VERY new i this industry and would LOVE some pointers if you are up for offering them. I'm not looking to make a killing on the internet (won't frown if it happens) but just to get some extra income. I know a lot about a lot of different things but my passion is in the pet industry. 1. Build that list...whether it's PPC, SEO, videos, articles get that list building every day. Send all your traffic to a simple bare bones squeeze page with a headline, a few benefit points and a sign up box, nothing fancy.

2. Once they've confirmed by clicking the confirmation link in their email, send them to a sales page with a really good 1 time offer.

I had an old list of 990 people that was sittin around doing nothing, I offered them some freebie stuff, directed them to my squeeze page and voila here I am 1 day later with $312 more in my Paypal.

Inspiring post. Absolutely right about finding what works, sticking to one thing, get it right, then rinse and repeat. Otherwise your losing money on one thing can turn into losing money on 20 things. The more money you lose, the more money ironically you will spend trying not to lose.

Great job! It really is amazing how if you just do something simple like setup a squeeze page to a good free offer than include a good one time offer how much you can actually make. I am focusing daily on list building. People that say the money is no longer in the list are just trying to sell you their latest course on Twitter profits.

List building still works and I don't see it going away anytime soon! The sweetest thing is you can find an affiliate offer to promote that your list would appreciate and make another $300 day and it keeps growing as your list grows!

I don't agree with your point "stop buying a million WSOs". There is always a thing or two you can learn. Every single product sold as a WSO is gold if you know how to implement it and how to add it to make a bigger picture. I have met a lot of people who achieved success by buying good WSOs.

Internet marketing is not about discovering one technique of earning money and replicating it everyday.. it's about learning big techniques to implement and experiment until you find 5 may be 10 solid techniques that earn you money online. If one technique brings $312, for example, imagine how much it would bring if you implement 5 proven techniques.

Learning internet marketing is a process and all those gurus were newbies when they started out. And you may know that everyone started buying one or two WSOs at warriorforum

I think what chameleon was trying to say is that many, many, many (is that enough "manys") just float aimlessly from one thing to the next.

You are VERY accurate - using multiple techniques is the best way to learn, earn and stay there - it's like diversification in investing - one stock takes you to the moon or puts you on a window ledge. A balanced portfolio keeps you from climbing out the window.

So, you're right - use multiple techniques, but chameleon is also right - if people aren't COMPLETING something, they should stop buying the next thing. Otherwise, it's just a cycle of buy, start, buy, start, buy, start. There's no IMPLEMENTATION and therefore no income.

It's taken a lot of reading, learning and hard work to get here and like many of you say, there's still a long way to go to get those numbers ever day...but after having a day like yesterday, I KNOW it can happen, so it's just a matter of time to get everything implemented so it works every day. So here's how it worked for me...

1. I had an old list of 990 I'd built up over the last year or so. The funny thing was I built the list and had no autoresponder sequence to send them, so most of them I hadn't contacted at all.

2. I emailed them saying I'd created a new series of lessons/content and told them to follow this link to sign up for the free stuff.

3. Sent them to a squeeze page using this free template from DavidFrosdick.com

4. After confirmation, sent them to my One Time Offer

4. All in all yesterday I had 251 opens, 79 clickthroughs and 26 signups and 6 sales.

And that's it! So all I need to do now is direct as much qualified traffic as I possibly can to my squeeze page and "That's a Bingo!"

Sure Tony, it's just the same product but marked down in price by $20. The line I added to the sales page that I think is important is...

"This offer will never be made again, it'll be gone forever as soon as you close this page!"

I really believe that line helps em to get their wallets out :-)

I think you also have given us all some very valuable advice. Funny why for most of us it is so hard to understand yet so simple.

And that is - Instead of doing 100 different things at the same time and never really getting any of them done, focus on getting at least 1 thing done, up and running (and working) before getting distracted with all kinds of other things.

And I think the opt-in list is so important, yet it get's overlooked by so many of us. Everyone is crying for traffic and/or how much it costs to generate traffic yet hear is a way for us to generate instant traffic, for 0 cost as often as we like.

I have one question and it's probably a stupid one at that but regardless... When you make a sale from your WSO, the email of your customer is captured which obviously enables you to sell him further stuff.
My question is, the customer who bought your WSO didn't subscribe to your newsletter nor requested to be on your list.
So how does this process generally work? I'll rephrase this if I wasn't clear.

The first 300$ day feels awesome, it was not that long ago for me. But I agree with what's been said above: the hard part is to earn these 300 bucks consistently, every day! But the great feeling you get on your first "big" day is that you realize the potential of what you're doing and it also tells you that what you're doing works and should be scaled up. That's an awesome feeling as I believe we've all been through the "hard work for no results" frustrating part in our learning curve. What makes the difference in my opinion between someone who makes money online and someone who doesn't is FOCUS. Knowledge is important obviously but there are so many great free resources out there that it's becoming easier and easier to get the required knowledge quickly. What takes time though is to realize that you know enough, stop looking for ever-more info and try to act upon what you already know.

hello

i'm not a seasoned IM and have never made .01cent from using a list, is it realistic to believe you can consistently earn $300/day using the same list that you have?

it seems un-likely if you are limiting your mailings to 1-2x per week. if you are mailing every day, that seems like spam.
