How To Know The Source Of Traffic

Hey guys.

I need some help here.

I have a site that has 3 banner links going to my sales page.

How can I track which among the 3 links is actually bringing people to the sales page?

Any idea on tracking?

  • If the three banners are on separate pages you can use Google analytics goals. If not, I suggest using a simple PHP or javascript script that counts how many clicks each banner gets. I'm sure some tech savvy warriors can help.
  • The banners are in the entire site. They're just positioned in different part of the page.

    I have no idea on php and javascript, I just thought there's away to do it in analytics.

    Google adwords have a URL builder, but it's primarily for those running adwords campaign.
