Where Can I Host Files?

INTERNET MARKETING

I need to have a download link for a free report I'm sending out as part of an e-mail series. I have tried many sites but they all send you to a site where you have to click "download" again. I want my subscribers to be able to just press "Click Here To Download" in my email and have the file begin downloading (or the dialogue box pop up to begin doing so).

Anyone know how I can do this? I'm sure it's very simple I just haven't found the right site.

Hey Brandon,

You can also send them a direct link in your message to a zip file or to a PDF. So the link would be like http://www.yourdomain.com/yourfreeguide.zip or http://www.yourdomain.com/yourfreeguide.pdf

Hope that makes sense. Just link direct to the file instead of to a download page.

Most of the free file hosting services don't provide direct linking, because there is no profit for them that way, however, you can find host services that are ads free and are pretty simple to use.
But the best option is using your own hosting, if you don't have one, get it, you can use the baby plan of hostgator.com, and it will allow you to setup your own websites.
If you are registering with hostgator, use the coupon 1cent to get your first month for 0.01.

To expand on what countonuspr said...

1. Use an FTP Software like Filezilla
2. Upload the file to your "Website Directory"
3. Then your link will be like mentioned earlier...

Yourwebsite.com/filename.filetype

ex.

yourwebsite.com/freereport.pdf

Once they go to that url it will automatically bring up the "op up box"
