I can't find your offer after I click on your ad

Did you ever get lost in a "free" offer and not be able to find the free thing they promised?

There have been several that I've been attracted to only to never find the thing I came to get. The site I landed on either didn't mention it again and tried to sell something else or was so confusing I couldn't figure out where to go.

I'm not the smartest guy around I know, but for me it has to be drop dead simple. If I click on an ad offering " List building secrets" I want to land on a page that mentions list building somewhere. It's amazing how many marketers don't marry their advertising to their pages. I don't want to land on a page about anything else.

Recently I was looking for a car part and typed the part number into Google. Several advertisers had it displayed in their ad so I clicked on one. I was taken to a general page where I could "search" for car parts. Not what I wanted at all. I had already searched. The person in charge of PPC advertising for that company should have linked me directly to the product page. I'm sure it's costing them money.

It's widespread and mostly deliberate. Anything to get you to their page - whether it offers the info/product you need or not.
