I've written my first ebook, now what

Well, I see you are a war room member, so you'd be in a good position to hold a WSO if you wanted.

I guess you are already an entrepreneur and that this is just your first ebook and not your first venture??!

I've said it a few times on this forum, but nothing beats the assistance of a mentor who has done what you want to achieve. There will get tons of suggestions here from people but the main two will be:

1) Your new, so send it out free via giveaways etc and hope the masses start to see your quality and remember your name

2) If the content is good enough then try your luck at selling it via article marketing, ads etc

Both have their pro's and con's but without looking at your ebook, considering whether you will write other book, finding out what your objective is, it's difficult to answer.

So, by finding a good mentor, they will take the time to find out a little more and then suggest the option that suits you best. I'm sure some people will respond to this post, so check out their signatures, visit their blogs and if they impress you, ask them for a little bit of private coaching to help you launch. You can always add a quick thanks to them in your ebook so it's a win win for both of you.

Instead of a generalised suggestion, try to find a suggestion that suits you and your ambitions. It will be worth 10 times more if it's personalised advice.

Sadly ebooks are losing their perceived value. Is it really a course?

Why not do both (free + paid)?

Pull out an excerpt / chapter that's given away free (better still, split test a free page and a free squeeze). Do an upsell to get the full book.

Find a good affiliate manager, or product launch manager or a jv broker to help you out

Have you considered loading it with affiliate links and giving it away? Give it away with resale rights and giveaway rights. You could even offer it to resell rights websites.

I would put it onto a website giving it away. Drive traffic to it and use it to build your list. Drive traffic by submitting articles and video.

p.s. (to those like nicholasb) I may be asking more dumb questions like this in the future. Please don't assume I know nothing because of it. I like asking questions because I am a very curious person and like to see what others would do. They may have more experience than me and I would be wise to listen to them.
