Quality of Clickbank Traffic

Folks,

So I have a product up on clickbank - I have not done any affiliate recruitment yet and have started getting traffic. One affiliate seems to be sending a good amount 300+ so far - but they seem not to be converting.

Now I know the page converts - so I was curious as to others experience from Clickbank. I have heard rumors about people sending junk traffic - you know buy 100,000 clicks for $25 etc

Wat have YOU seen?

      I'm an affiliate having this problem.

      I send my traffic from Ezinearticles to a pre-sell page and then to the vendor. My traffic is NOT converting.

      I have send almost 2000 people last month to different vendors and have made only one sale. It's really disappointing to see how this reflects on my clickbak account

      I think that the lesson to be learned from here is that untargeted traffic is total junk, even if it comes at no cost.

    Why not find out where that traffic is coming from, and redirect it to something that does convert? I.e., if you have a lot of 'chinese' traffic, one thing that does very well is games...

    It would be from bulk visitors. It's sad, but keep advertising your affiliate section and i'm sure someone will advertise it properly.

    I have had a similar experience and it's all coming from india through one site.
    No traffic is bad traffic so I just ignore it.

        I refuse to quote conversion rates to affiliates... it seems all newbie affiliates want to know it too.

        But there's NO way, you can quote conversion rate unless you're lying. There are waaaay too many variables involved.

        My best affiliate might convert at 1:33... and the worst at 1:2000...

        No two traffic sources are the same.

          Absolutely agree - if you do a great pre-sell and have a very responsive list you can see a great conversion rate, for a cold, unrelated list it will suck. Marketing 101!
