advice and suggestions

Ok my fellow WF friends. I am in need of some more guidance. I am looking for somthing in IM that is not difficult to do. I am not good at making my own website or understand much of this lingo or even how to do much of the stuff like backlinking, and stuff like that.

I want to know from you what is the easiest way to make money online without a lot of steps I would have to go through to make it work. I am not looking to get rich right now, I just want to make a good amount of money online for the extra stuff.

Any and all suggestions are welcome and I look forward to hearing what you have to say. Thanks.

  • One of the easiest ways: since it seems you can write (i.e., english is your mother tongue), go to rentacoder, set up an account, and start bidding for some writing projects. You can see results in as little as 24 hours (if not sooner).

    Cheers!

There's a number of different ways to make $$$. Are you a good writer?

If so you could write articles, blog posts, e-books etc. Can you shoot and edit video? Again you can charge for these services.

If you don't want to provide a service try affiliate marketing.

Yes AF I've tried, but when I go to research how to get it done, I have to have a website for a landing page, sign up for something where I have people get on a mailing list from me (can't think of the terminology at this moment), then I would have to figure out how to do the SEO (cause I can't afford PPC or any other advertising that cost money).......it just goes on and on and on. Someone needs to make a class just on AF for people like me to understand it correctly. Because there is so much information out there, I don't know who is the best on to listen to.

Writing I can do if I had a subject to write about. Videos, I don't want to do and I don't have a camera. I'm on a limited budget where $1 is a lot of money to me these days.

More advice is welcome....keep it coming.

Well, I would suggest to go for affiliate marketing, but that does require work. HOWEVER, if you have some money to invest, you can outsource almost everything, and with a good strategy you can make some money pretty soon.

First, you would need to choose a niche to get into. It`s a group of people who have the same problems or passions: dog owners, single moms, pregnant women, etc. Then choose a few products you could promote to those people. Products that each solves some problem. A good idea is to have a separate page built for each of those products - this page is called a landing page.

Get a short list of keywords for each of your landing pages, and 10-20 additional keywords for the articles, for each of the landing pages. So each landing page gets a couple of keywords to optimize the landing page for, and a list of additional keywords for articles.

You can get a website with content built for you for only $50 (I saw that the other day here on WSO), so website is not a problem. Then, write (or outsource) 20-30 articles for each of your landing pages, and submit them to article directories (GoArticles works well for me and many other people).

Then you will need to get backlinks for all the pages that you have. The articles get ranked pretty easily, so if you keep on building backlinks for those article URLs, you should start getting some traffic in a month, and in two months you should be doing good. You can outsource link building as well.

So, when you think about it, it might seem like a lot of work, but you can get this whole thing done for a few hundred dollars, and you should be making money in 2-3 months.

    Hope this helps
    Alex

  • There are many ways to make money online. I was in the same situation as you, not long ago. I realized that, because of my professional background, writing was the way to go. However, it pretty much depends on what you like to do, what you have experience in and how much you are willing to work. I have heard about affiliate and referral programs, and how people generate good income from these. However, do keep your eyes open and do not fall for any schemes. There are a lot of scammers out there. The truth is, and I have learned this the hard way, that anyone or any program that is asking you for money in order for you to make money, is not worth your time. Say "No Thanks, NEXT". Good Luck!

I would also recommend trying your hand at some writing projects. You can look for Jenn Dize here on the Warrior Forum, she has a good easy to follow program that will get you started with writing.

I think you need a wakeup call.

For two months you've asked questions about google sniper - and recently you mentioned you were doing the research to get started.

Did you finish the research - or was it just too hard? You've asked several times if people are making money using google sniper - and people always answer "yes". But they are earning because they are doing it!

You have self-limited by labeling yourself as not able to learn or do anything in IM. Instead of taking one step and completing it and moving to the next you seem to read all the steps and give up. You put everything into a file marked "too hard" - and that just isn't true. You don't have to learn it all at once - you just need to learn enough to do the step you are on. Then you move to the next step and learn and do that.

It may take you a full week to understand niche research - so what? Once you know it, you know it.

It doesn't matter if you want to earn a little money or a lot of money online - you still have to do the work and that means learning how to use the tools you need.

None of it is hard to do - but you have to apply yourself - there are no 1-2-3 shortcuts to making money online.

Go back to google sniper and continue the steps - that method works if you will only do it! Stop looking for easy fast money makers that take no time and effort. Every bit of information and tutorials you need to get started online are available for free on the internet - and many are in this forum.

You can't succeed if you never learn the basics and follow through. There is no substitute for learning and doing.

You've had tons of time to learn to make a one page site.

It is not rocket science. It doesn't require a lot of lingo.

In fact, if you have the skills to post on this forum, then you have the skills to make a simple one page squidoo or blogger blog.

The only way you are going to learn is by just signing up and doing it.

You will fail. And if you are wise, you will learn from that, fix the issue, and go on to fail again. Only to move up one more spot as you go.

I am not good at making my own website or understand much of this lingo or even how to do much of the stuff like backlinking, and stuff like that.
Well, first off you will have nothing to link if you don't first make a site.

Make a site, and then learn how to make a link. It's not that hard - and honestly if you don't learn to link you may as well just offer writing for other people.

So, you learn how to make a link, and then go learn how to make links point to your site.

Seriously, are you going to learn to link a payment button when the time comes?

Don't know how to do something? Search this forum or look it up on Google.

My advice is go make a web page today on a free site. That is my honest advice. It will take well under an hour - even for the newest newbie on the block.

You will feel accomplished, empowered, and ready to move on to the next step.

I would recommend currency trading, it is very clean, no link building, blog comments or article writing and you do not need a website. Just open up an account with Fxcm or something similar. It can be very rewarding or the opposite.

I would like to ad - Maybe you are like me. I have trouble, with learning, when I have to read things. I learn and understand by doing and also by watching.

How does this apply to you? Simple go to YouTube and search for IM related topics like niche research or keyword research. You will find many videos where people will walk you through various processes.

This has helped me more that I can ever explain. Give YouTube a try and remember to use the filter function to show by upload dates to get the newest most relevent info. You could even search on Google Sniper to get video tutorials.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the advice. A couple of you were blunt and to the point. Yes, I have talked about GS and asked questions about it; and you are right, I have not even tried to work on it much like I should. I have been using the excuse that it might be "too hard" when it's probably not. I have no excuses on why I can't do anything on here, I just need to learn. However, I will also take the advice on the writing just to get my feet wet a bit and to try to make a few dollars here and there to build up some investment money for my business.

I read a several threads on here today about people talking about sticking with one thing and finishing - not starting something else until you have completed the first thing you started. I see that's my problem. I get a product, read it and feel overwhelmed and feel I can't do it and try to find something easier. Well obviously that's not gonna happen.

I will take the advice given here and work on completing a task all the way through. I will pop in for if I have questions about my task(s) though.

Also, there was a thread in here a while back about someone who was writing articles and selling them to an online company for about $2 - $3 each and was writing about 10 a day - or something like that. I was trying to find that thread, can someone help me with that?

Associated content is one of the article sites that pays you for your articles. Not sure which specific thread you are talking about.

I hate to point you in a different direction, but if you are finding yourself overwhelmed with all the different aspects of IM, maybe you want to look at Ed Dale's thirty day challenge. I think it is ok to put that here.

He is not doing the challenge this year, but last August's challenge is still up. He has pre-season lessons that teach you how to set up basic accounts. Then you can move through the daily lessons at your own pace.

    As zachary says above;
You can get your own blog type website for FREE.
You can sign up for Google Ads (Google Adsense) for FREE.

    You can obviously write English.

    Write about your hobby...
    Write about your problems...

It probably won't make you much money, but you WILL be learning and your next project might be a KILLER! Invest what you make into your next project.
As you learn, learning more becomes easier

You have everything you need... except self-motivation it seems.
I wish you luck - seriously!

In addition to what others have said, PotPieGirl's free 6 Step Niche Sites is a good basic introduction to niche marketing. As others said, if you can post to this forum, you can build a niche Wordpress blog and monetize it with affiliate products and adsense.

    Susanne,

Most folks here will tell you I'm fairly easy to get along with and very seldom call anybody out, unless I feel it's absolutely necessary. And in your case it's necessary.

Kay King's post # 9 in this thread made me research the threads you have started. And frankly you have received some darn good advice and methods for you to start making money through out the threads you have started and in this one. But I have found absolutely nothing in your replies that have indicated you implemented anything that was suggested to you. All I saw was excuses of why you can't do it.

I will say one thing you are consistent as all get out about asking the same questions time and again. Why in the world don't you apply that same consistency into taking action on the suggestions you have been given.

Now here you are back again asking the same questions except with maybe a change of words.
I want to know from you what is the easiest way to make money online without a lot of steps I would have to go through to make it work.
Don't you get it yet? There Ain't No Free Lunch! You, Yes You Have To Do The Work.

You admitted above you can write. OMG you really did. Then you said provided you had a topic to write on. What in heck do you mean you don't have a topic to write on? My gosh woman, this forum is loaded with topics you could write on.

I don't know how many people have told you in the last 3 months go on the freelance sites and you will see people listing the topics they want someone to write on for them. What in blue blazes do you mean you don't have a topic?

Why haven't you offered to write a couple of free articles for someone here at the forum, just so you could get them into your portfolio and perhaps get a testimonial. By the way they would most likely give you a topic and the keyword to write on. That won't cost you a dime. If your writing is solid enough, there is a good chance that person would pay you for writing more articles for them.

Frankly, I think everyone, including me, has wasted their time and breath trying to help you, give you a kick in the butt or trying to motivate you to take action. You just aren't going to do it; are you?

    Ken Leatherman

    The Old Geezer

P.S. Your latest post # 14 in this thread was done while I was writing this. I still don't believe you will do anything. Prove me wrong and I will be glad to make a public apology to you and applaud you, loud and clear.

      Susanna -

I understand what you are saying - and I know what the problem is. But I know from experience how to solve it, too.

When I started "working online" (yeah, right) I didn't know how to ftp or even understand basic things like downloading and zips, etc. I know that panic feeling of "this is too much" because I've been there.

I can remember many days when I sat at the computer reading a "how to" only to get up and walk away thinking "this is too hard" or "I can't do this".
Why? I know I'm not dumb - but I would begin to feel overwhelmed because there was so much I didn't know. I was learning how to use a computer and how to do IM at the same time - that's a lot of mouse clicks and lingo to learn. At the time I had NO computer experience whatsoever.

I knew walking away wasn't the answer so I established a habit for when I felt that "too hard" or "I can't" feeling. I would go out and take a quick walk with the dogs and think about what I had just read - and why I felt intimidated.

Then I'd come back, sit down and try again. It only took a few weeks before that "too hard" feeling totally disappeared and was replaced with a curiosity to see if I could make something work. Each small success built on the one before it - and before long I had no doubt that I could master anything I ran into in IM.

Allow yourself those moments of "I can't" - but don't let them stop you. Set aside time to learn, walk away when you have to - and then go back to it and try again. It DOES work - you CAN do it. But only YOU can do it for yourself.
