Free Fax Service???

Hey Warriors,

I'm setting up my sales page to include the option of ordering by fax (I guess some people still do it that way). BUT all the free incoming fax services seem to have disappeared.
Since 1 in 1,000 (or less) will order by fax, I don't want to pay a monthly service fee for a fax # I'll barely use. eFax has eliminated their free service, faxdigits seems to be offline.

Does anyone know of a free (and reliable) online incoming fax service?

Thanks...looks like a great service for sending faxes. But I'm looking for a service that will provide a free fax number to receive faxes via email and .pdf or .tif attachment.

eFax was the leader of this for years, but they've discontinued their free service and now charge a monthly fee. Does anyone have an alternative?

I use OneSuite.com. The basic service is only $1 per month (almost free) and it works very well. They have local numbers for most areas.

I use Metrofax. I don't know if they have a free online fax service but you could go to their website and check it out......? I didn't know there was such a thing as a free online faxing service.

          Good Luck!
          Cheers

If you are looking for an online free fax service for customers to send you private information, such as credit card numbers for payment, be sure to check into liability issues for that.

Why not just buy a fax machine? Connect it to your phone line and set it up for phone/fax. You can get fax machines pretty cheap these days, and it's easier than hunting around for some free fax service.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

I was going to say efax, for free(to receive) email service. But Dan Rinnert has a point....

Almost ALL free fax services. Scratch that, I bet *****ALL***** will EMAIL you the fax. You see, that makes things simpler for them, simpler for you, and makes sure YOU will READ it, for the ads, etc! ****ONE PROBLEM**** email is THE least secure medium. If someone tries, they can see the CC#!

So you probably shouldn't use any online fax service. DIRECT fax service, as long as it is right near you, etc... is fine.

Yes at $1 a month you'll get unlimited incoming fax service. I think that's the closest to free you can find.

Try out freepopfax.com - free, but with little ads.
If you want to spend some money on this issue, you could use their paid service - popfax.com cheap and without ads
